myfs_159674
Hi Cecil,I've chosen the auspicious date that I'd want to move in to my new house. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be ready to move in on that date itself. My new bed probably will not be ready either. Rather than rush to do so, could you advise what are the 'must-do' or minimal rituals for moving-in. Someone told me that we can just 'move in our clothes' that's sufficient. Another said, we can sleep-over for on the night of the auspicious day.thanksJohn CPS: sincere apologies if someone had posted this before.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted October 24, 2014 Staff Share Posted October 24, 2014 1. In my opinion, there is certainly no one correct answer for move-in.2. The conservative (and ultra-conservative) would not agree that "move in your clothes" would imply a "stay-in".3. From what I analyse and understand; the most acceptable term is "to sleep in the home over-night". This, I believe is the most common consensus to a = move-in.4. This is because, some belief that even if one is unable to or do not sleep overnight but do certain thing(s)... it would be symbolic of a move-in.5. Here, some say to place a set of the husband's night clothing on his side of the bed, while the wife; hers on her side.6. I would consider Para 4 and 5 as a valid consideration of "minimal move-in"Of course, there are many other interpretations. And I understand that your is further complicated by "no bed" on your "move-in"....... Staff Cecil Lee Posted October 24, 2014 Staff Share Posted October 24, 2014 The main point of the text is that the popular understanding of a move-in primarily revolves around the concept of staying overnight, which can be interpreted both literally and symbolically. Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 15 Staff Share Posted July 15 Question: Hi master, I like to check if my toilet table top broke but the basin still can use. Is it good to install or just leave it without the whole vanity. I will be moving into the new house on 1x July. So the new vanity will only come after No worries, the most important consideration on moving day is the stove. No issue to leave it without the whole vanity. And when it comes over later, then install it Question: If that’s the case. Can I install it first then remove later because my vanity may take a month to come from China. Because I do not know if the thing is faulty when moving in is good anot. Feng Shui does not involve micromanaging. Please do what you believe is most suitable or convenient.
