HDB Tampines GREENridges is on a rectangular plot of land. But has a high density of blocks/stacks. All blocks/stacks are aligned along the North to South cardinal line of North 0/360 and South 180 degrees. On first glance, one could have mistaken HDB Tampines GREENridges as another classic site layout. But unfortunately, as the architect had decided to leave the center area with "gaps" i.e. blocks are kept at the furthest distance; this has inadvertently CREATED poison arrows (sha qi). There are just to many of such poison arrows where a corner of the stack of one block is aimed towards a neighbouring block/stack/unit. I did not highlight all of them just these sample few:- Stack 374 has a poison arrow that is aimed towards #860.Stack 862 has a poison arrow that is aimed towards #372Stack 850 has a poison arrow that is aimed to wards #368 and a few more.. Don't get me wrong, one advantage of living at high floors above such a structure may often mean that the views are unblocked. But if one's stack/unit is at low storeys e.g. 2 to 5 storeys high and depending on the distance the precinct pavilons are; one could literally looked into the "activities" if any within these pavilions which on occassions hold a wake (funeral) or two... And worse still if they are held during one's auspicious festive occasions such as the 15 days of Chinese New Year. It is good to note therefore to try to avoid low floor units in stacks like: 360, 362, 892, 894, 408, 410, 392 & 394. And if possible also try to avoid low floors in 348 or even 350. Fortunately, for such a large cluster of homes in this development and with three precinct pavilions; there are relatively small amount of stacks/units facing such pavilions. There are two considerations, here:- 1. Under Feng Shui: Shapes and Forms + Water classics 2. Common sense (which often translate to Common sense Feng Shui) Under Para 1: 1.1. Vehicles on roads are like water courses. And under the Water classics, it is inauspicious to have waterways (roads) that criss-cross. Under the water classics, if this was indeed a cross - water junction; there would be erosion of the banks of this cross junction "stream" or river. And under the water classics; this is a non-natural phenomenon. 1.2. If it was a landed property; once in a million; there may be an accident e.g. vehicle ploughing into the property etc.. But fortunately, this is a high rise and the ground floor pillars are a distance away from the roads. Thus, even if a vehicle were to plough through, there are sufficent deterent or barrier(s) to stop it cold on it's tracks. 2. Common sense says that there will be "white pollution" or white noise caused by vehicles such as buses, cars and sometimes by motorcycles. Sometimes, we could hear them at early hours of the day. 3. Other factors: Can be a positive or negative:- 3.1. Positive in that the unit has unobstructed view at least between it; the road and the next road - as compared to some of the units in the development that faces each other. 3.2. Negative? Especially if the unit is facing the afternoon sun or directly facing the afternoon sun. Here, there is literally: no-where to hide from it. As there are no other blocks or stacks blocking the unit. Their core business is not authentic Feng Shui. But rather making big bucks by selling lots of useless commercial products in the name of Feng Shui.
