Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 26, 2017 Staff Share Posted March 26, 2017 Seaside Residences @ Sigap Link takes advantage of the seaview; thus many of the units have an outstanding view of the sea. On a clear day and high floors; one can even get to see Indonesia's Batam island. My major grouse is that even if majority of the blocks are set-in a distance away from the busy ECP; many lower floor units will still "enjoy" the traffic noise along this highway... Anyway, this plot is the last plot at the fringe of District 15 that is virtually, next to the seaside... From Laguna Park onwards.. it is district 16. In 1975, the land where Seaside Residences situated is a small bus depot for bus service 16. Then, Victoria Junior college was not yet built. And the only visible buildings were the newly completed HUDC Laguna Park at 5000 Marine Parade Road. And it's nearest neighbour the newly minted Mandarin Gardens. This plot sits on reclaimed land. The pool side is where it will be the noisest as this is directly facing the "seaview side" and East Coast Parkway ECP highway. Under Flying Star Feng Shui, from 2024 to 2043; there is a change in Qi. However, normally two years before especially 2022 onwards, the change is more significant. Since this development on paper is expected to TOP in the year 2021 or perhaps 2020; left only 2 years of Period 8. Thus, for us geomancers, we will have to consider this in our evaluation of the Can or Cannot buy.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 26, 2017 Author Staff Share Posted March 26, 2017 Seaside Residences : Can or Cannot Buy and By the process of elimination Common sense says that one should never buy a unit directly or indirectly facing the Bin centre. Here, between the devil (the bin centre) and noisy ECP highway (the deep blue sea).. sadly.. the bin centre is the "first priority" to avoid first. Thus, Lower floors of Stack 01 (directly or indirectly) facing the Bin Centre should be avoided like the plague. Even higher floors.. given that this can really hurt the resale value of the development).
Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 27, 2017 Author Staff Share Posted March 27, 2017 Seaside Residences & shared common rubbish bins on each floor All HDB sales brochures will specifically mark the location of the shared common rubbish bins at each floor. Nowadays, many newer developments HDB and private apartments may have two sets: Recycle and common rubbish bins. Here, many or rather so far, all private developments always never ever highlight this to their potential buyers. Can't blame the developers. As they rather not highlight this else to them, it may most likely impact on their sales. A quick scan of a few layouts and it is evident that there is no internal rubbish bins. If your concern is having a rubbish next to your main entrance; remember: do insist on getting in this case the Hutton's representative handling Seaside Residences to get this information from the developer.... before you readily sign on the dotted line...
Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 27, 2017 Author Staff Share Posted March 27, 2017 Please note that I am not advertising for this development. As I stay in District 15; this flyer was posted to me a few days ago....hmm... I guess this is Targeted marketing... Hutton assume you stay in...
Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 27, 2017 Author Staff Share Posted March 27, 2017 Nowadays, it is a trend of many developers to use dry walls for some of the interior rooms/bedroom partitions. Thus, be careful of emf radiation (if any) with the bed-head sharing the same wall as the mounted TV ...

Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 23, 2017 Author Staff Share Posted April 23, 2017 If one looks carefully at the inverted V shaped or crooked W shaped; Little did the architects realise that by aligning the two blocks this way; it looks like a parabolic receptor: further magnifying the sound from the busy ECP highway. Most likely the architect's idea is giving most units a great view... but forgetting that they don't stay there... others do. Or the architect was formerly a designer of Bose products.. or he/she had invented the Bose sound wave radios... Anyway, most likely, The developer will always have excuses like: "why worry! We supply you with sound proof... windows/balcony glass.." You jolly we'll need to turn on air-conditioning all year round... This reminds me of The Meyerise... P.S. This plot was an afterthought... the original reclaimed sea was meant to develop the likes of HUDC Laguna Park / View / Mandarin Gardens / Marine Terrace etc.. Similar to the The Infinity at Clementi.. a plot without an afterthought... thus this is just a left-over piece of land neglected until now... Note: White pollution (noise) depends especially on the facing of the unit and floor level; the echo properties of the concave parabolic properties, the protrusions e.g. of the balcony that bounces more noise towards e.g. the 3rd bedroom etc... Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 23, 2017 Author Staff Share Posted April 23, 2017 Please note that this thread, see below has nothing to do with above. The only remote coincidence is that they share the word "Sea". And the article below writes about the Seaview condo. In my opinion, it is an interesting read.. for would be new home buyers.. Frankly, rarely.. a property becomes so unlucky as this one... How the developer should have just let it remain a Hotel (formerly seaview hotel and it's ancillary supermarket..) A property purchased for around $1,600 per sq feet; and when a potential seller wanted to sell it at a loss of $1,000 per sq feet.. the potential buyer's bank said NO.. then..https://www.99.co/blog/singapore/how-the-seaview-is-a-gigantic-warning-to-singapores-property-buyers-2/

Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 24, 2017 Author Staff Share Posted April 24, 2017 Few That are new in District 15. Feng Shui also does not take into consideration proximity to an MRT station especially when they are underground and zero noise affecting the development.
