Phyeap Posted February 5, 2018 Share Posted February 5, 2018 Dear Masters Our auspicious dates for moving house based on Ba Zi is 06 Feb 2018 (Tue); 16 Feb 2018 (Fri); 18 Feb 2018 (Sun); 28 Feb 2018 (Wed); 02 Mar 2018 (Fri). Four of the dates fall within the 15 days of the Chinese New Year. Both me and my wife are Singaporean Chinese. In contemporary times, if a household lacks a dominant matriarch or an "objector" like family members or parents to oversee the individual(s), then simply not moving in on the initial day is often acceptable. Moving in typically involves staying overnight. Therefore, if feasible, some individuals may even gradually transport items. If one has the opportunity, just bringing a few suitcases like last-minute valuables is advantageous. Hence, strictly speaking, all of these practices are considered taboos.
