Facing direction difference between HDB/Condo and Landed

Recommended Posts

Hi Shifu,

There are this saying that tall building house facing direction is opps of landed house. Example if the landed house is facing North, so the HDB/Condo should be facing South.

Please advice.

1. In my opinion, this has to do with a group of Feng Shui practitioners known as "The Conservatives".

2. Learn more about: The Conservatives, here:-

3. Please refer to the following sample layout plan.1880064671_layoutworkingillustrationofmaindoorandfrontage.thumb.png.88475941c9223b0e6b8dfb15a950f36b.png

3.1. In general, The Conservative Feng Shui practitioners always take their compass readings standing say at A looking towards B.

3.2. Imagine that this is not an apartment/flat. But a landed property. Usually for a landed property, the blue area highlighted as "Frontage" is often where there main gate, the compound of the landed home is.

3.3. In Singapore, most landed homes are back to back to each other. Thus the blue zone is always the frontage.

3.4. All Feng Shui practitioners in this situation will take a reading standing at A looking out towards C most of the time.

4. You wrote: "There are this saying that tall building house facing direction is opps of landed house. Example if the landed house is facing North, so the HDB/Condo should be facing South."

4.1 For example in this simple illustration:
Standing at A looking out towards B is South.
Then, Standing at A looking out towards C is North.

4.2 Based on my experience interpreting your message.. this could most likely explain for your question.

5. Actually there are far more considerations than this superficial over generalised statement.

6. The key success is to locate the frontage of a home. And take a reading standing inside the home looking towards it.

7. As mentioned under Para 3.3. Many Singapore landed properties are back-to-back with another home. Thus it makes it less likely that the frontage is not where one drives into home from the main gate.

8. In many other countries. One can even find a person driving into the main gate. But on the other side of the house is a beautiful view of the ocean. If so, in such a situation, the frontage may even be standing inside the home looking out towards the marvellous view of the beach and ocean.

The key success factor in applying Flying Star Feng Shui is to locate the Frontage.

Thus even if it is a landed property, if or imagine that the frontage looks like this: 0F0C8E14-BB2D-4513-BC86-3D5A1C802BAC.thumb.jpeg.12314fe3d410b41257f5146964e94006.jpeg

This facing could be considered as the frontage instead of driving into say a landed property through it’s main gate.

Here, this like more like a multi-million dollar view of the Pacific Ocean.

PS. Location: a recent audit at Sentosa island.

The main gate site of the home may look like this2BBF25B2-2133-4609-A13E-BC9057E9792C.thumb.jpeg.81c898638df5bc44b2f2db18d58c3ab8.jpeg

But the views from the other side looks like below:-A8A8B201-1CD4-4CAC-95B3-7E71912814B7.thumb.jpeg.1715c9423a4c359b5889ea7c24d7707c.jpeg

Then in this photo, these landed home’s frontage is shown in this Sentosa Cove poster.

More: The Waterfront can be the frontage... not the main gate or main door side.

Don’t be surprised!

Unfortunately, there are still many Feng Shui Practioners who still live with “The Conservatives” attitude!

In the future, if one is considering engaging a Feng Shui practitioner. With the above knowledge, you can now test to see their inclinations. LOL
