Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 16, 2019 Author Staff Share Posted July 16, 2019 Case Study: Smart Home System 1. Understand that purchasers of a unit at Piermont Grand will have several Smart Home Systems like the "Our Smart Home Gateway"; "Smart Voice Assistance"; Digital Lockset (Perhaps Yale model). 2. Most buyers will often not rely solely on these for their purchase decisions. LOL 3. In the recent iNz Residences; I understand from a client at iNz Residences (just T.O.P.) that some of them had paid extra for a smart home system to learn that the extra they paid were either outdated and/or more inferior than what was provided to some of the residents who had not paid for the extras. 4. Caution prevails that the home is about 2.5 to even as late as 3.5 years later. And obsolesense is a major consideration, today. And electronic products age very fast. 5. Furthermore, often, such a system's shelf life at most coud perhaps be 5 or at most 10 years. Take the notation of the coming telecommuncation 5G systems..as an example. Where the 2G is now obsolete... 3G too slow... etc... 6. By coincidence... this article....

Staff Cecil Lee Posted October 16, 2019 Author Staff Share Posted October 16, 2019 Re-published this, here. As I had published this in the Sengkang Grand Residences forum link... General Knowledge: What does GRAND mean in French? 1. Piermont GRAND, Sengkang GRAND Residences? Both developments, CDL has a hand in it. 2. While the English meaning of GRAND could also mean Luxurious or Luxury. 3. The French has a totally different meaning all together. 3.1. The adjective for GRAND in French is: Great, large, big, wide, high. 3.2. In the past, Renault has two versions of their Scenic. The larger 7-seater version was called GRAND Scenic. 3.2.1. This simply means that their GRAND model is larger, bigger, wider than the standard model. LOL Nothing to do with Grandeur.. LOL LOL 3.2.2. Citroen also calls their larger model GRAND C4 Picasso 7 Seater. 3.2.3. This is more of a French thing... 3.3. Thus if we use French, don't you think that the development's title can be misleading? 4. This is because, nowadays most floor plans are much smaller. And cannot be compared to a home built in the 1970's to 1980's. LOL 5. If one is a "French man" can perhaps go claim that the advert and the actual development's name is totally misleading.. 6. Luckily, other than our mother tongue... Singapore... is inclined towards British English... not French.. LOL P.S. Next time, if you do invite a French man to your new home... do relate this interesting fact to them... Also, I used to own a Renault Grand Scenic that is why I am pretty familiar with this word.. Staff Cecil Lee Posted December 23, 2019 Author Staff Share Posted December 23, 2019 Feng Shui enjoys a bad reputation today! As many associate Feng Shui (FS) with the need to buy expensive but useless commercial products sold in the name of FS. Many FS masters take advantage of this. It is like an addiction! Selling products are indeed a very lucrative thing. Know that not all Feng Shui Masters are into selling useless commercial products in the name of Feng Shui. When the buying Stops! The selling, Can! Geomancy.net has always distanced ourselves from the above!
Staff Cecil Lee Posted September 10, 2020 Author Staff Share Posted September 10, 2020 More: Site Reserved for Proposed Worship 1. Currently there is a question mark as to whether the site is for a Mosque or Church or Hindu Temple or a Chinese Temple. 2. Assuming that it is a future Chinese temple. 2.1. All Chinese temples will always have a incense burning cauldron (maybe not as elaborate as these:- 3. Often for current temples, the incense burning cauldron could be located at U, X, Y or Z:- 4. Usually the burning of incense is more intense during the 1st and 15th of every Chinese lunar month. 5. Thus even if one stays in a block / stack / unit that will not have a view of "potential temple - if any"; but the fumes can come right to one's door step! 6. There is no such thing as complaint to MP or make noise of sorts. Have to live with it, there and then. If cannot "tahan?" wait 5 years for M.O.P! And pray, pray.. that can sell fast ... Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 8, 2023 Author Staff Share Posted March 8, 2023 On 6/23/2019 at 3:29 PM, Alex Tan said: Part 12A: Another consideration is a Chinese Temple site at the North of Piermont Grand. 1. In fact, Piermont Grand's Site Plan, even when I zoomed into it; shows thin and tiny fonts used to reluctantly spell: "Proposed place of worship" as shown, here.. LOL 2. Piermont Grand’s coastline neighbour HDB Punggol Bayview Site plan also shows the Sumang Link site.. which we now know as Piermont Grand. 2.1. This Site plan distinctively states that the place of worship is proposed to be a Chinese temple. 2.2. The Piermont Grand's map "sneakly" just mentions "Proposed place of worship"; in my opinion most likely on purpose. As locally, some are more concerned that it is a Chinese temple vs a church unlike that of The Flo on the opposite of Punggol. LOL The small rectangular tab to the north of Piermont Grand indeed is reserved for a Chinese Temple... one more consideration... during the purchase of a unit in this development. Fortunately, it is the Singapore Soka (Japanese) Association. Where the building looked mellowed, unlike that of a Chinese or Indian Temple.
