Benjiboi
Dear Master, I read of the importance of having square or rectangular bedrooms to provide stability and good "Qi" movements. As I am planning to do some renovation works, I am exploring the option to build a partition and 'create' a more separate rectangular bedroom for my sleeping area. However, I am concerned about ventilation and mobility issues if I were to seal up part of my room. Furthermore, Feng Shui is also about functionality and I was wondering if there are other ways to circumvent the problem of the irregular shape of my bedroom. I do have an attached toilet and a small path leading into the room. For easy reference, I have attached a rough sketch of my planned design. Hope to hear your views on this. Thank you. Staff Cecil Lee Posted June 17, 2020 Staff Share Posted June 17, 2020 These are some considerations: 1. In general, in my opinion, it is still more beneficial to have more openings (such as those found at markings in red "A" and "B". Especially "B". (As legs should not face a window opening). But it can easily be redressed with a blind or drawn-down day curtains. 2. Thus in my opinion, the current bedroom is preferred. 3. If you want, you can still do the renovations as shown. 4. It is difficult to be more precise given that usually we normally plot the Flying Star numbers and look at it further:-
