I am looking at purchasing a house that is a perfect direction for the breadwinner of the family, however the frontage is in the Death direction for the spouse. WIll this really effect the spouse? Can Death mean transformation or is it truly illness, disease and death?

2. Thus as far as the Main Door / Frontage is, it is not about this:-

"Death direction for the spouse. WIll this really effect the spouse? Can Death mean transformation or is it truly illness, disease and death?"

A case of misplaced misunderstanding of the Eight House Concept as in the earlier question.

Case Study 4A: Applying Ba Zi Feng Shui + Who sleeps where is no accident

Major concepts:

1. Both partners individual best colours are combined to find a common denominator.

2. In this example, both partners have a common element: Water element.

3. Thus in the master bedroom, water element is one of the colours used in this bedroom.

4. In addition, who sleeps where is no accident.

4.1. This is because the Qi flowing from NE towards the bedroom window is inauspicious for Mrs.

4.2. Thus Mr sleeps closer to the windows to shield or protect Mrs.

5. At NE sector, from now till 2023 = Very auspicious. But from 2024 onwards, this becomes past prosperity.

6. This unit is also affected by the inauspicious Fire at Heaven's Gate. As the earlier case studies 2 and 3 had already covered this, no longer discussed, here.

Frontage or location with the most Yang qi; for many newer (greater than 2003 designs) HDB flats are often standing inside the living room looking outwards and/or the area with the most windows.

Case Study: Hi Master
I am sourcing for my new home a resale hdb n found a corner unit with the main door originally faces north but was relocated to face east due to the purchase of the recess area. Do I still follow the hdb structure as a north facing or take the new main door facing as East? The unit is on a high floor above 8 storey

Here, the main door can sometimes change. As some HDB blocks now have external lifts for each unit. And as such, sometimes this can now be an opening to the unit.

While the existing main door is no longer the main door as it is less convenient given that only stairs can be used, here.
