Drying of laundry in condos or private apartment blocks

In the past, many condos or private estates were very strict in that no “dirty laundry” should be visible from the balcony or living room windows.

Nowadays, it is taken for granted that I may do so. Even if the condo by laws said no to this.

It is still strictly applied here:

Okay, this is still common place:

In recent years, one condo tried to sue a resident who placed a shoe cabinet encroaching the common lobby.
