Staff Cecil Lee Posted November 23, 2021 Author Staff Share Posted November 23, 2021 Case Study 1: Block 306C Stack 292 and BLock 308C Stack 237 are cutting too close to the Common Bin Lobby. 1. Looks like the two bin chutes: common and recycle seems to sharing the same wall with the stack/units. Yucks! 2. Dread a trail of ants visiting making unwelcomed visits or even worse, making their homes (nests) in one's beloved home! Double Yucks!

No need to be concerned about "Watching your back" for Stack 215 = No issue since it is the "solid" kitchen wall.

Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 14 Author Staff Share Posted March 14 First Time Open Door +++ Tengah Depot Tengah as a military training ground The Tengah region was home to RAF Tengah, an air base for the British Royal Air Force, commissioned in 1939 and it remained under their control until 1971. Tengah has been used as a military training ground until the 1980s and 1990s. The area has since been demilitarized, and the first housing flats were launched in mid-2018. The Origin of Tengah The Tengah region is bounded by Lim Chu Kang Road, Choa Chu Kang Road, Ama Keng Road to the north and the Tengah River to the east. It was established as a Gambir and pepper farm in the 1850s, and it was one of 35 officially recorded Gambir farms in Singapore in 1855. How Tengah got its name While Tengah means 'centre' in Malay, Tengah is nowhere around the middle of Singapore. In the 1850s, Tengah was a 'chu kang', a term that referred to gambir and pepper farms located around a river. Bach 'chu kang' was led by a 'kang chu' (which refers to "Master of the River" in Teochew). It was said that in 1853, a kang chu named Teng-Ah Tong was given a concession to farm the land bounded by present-day Choa Chu Kang to the northeast, and Jurong East and West to the south. In time, it was simply called Teng-ah (Tengah)
