mpuss
Hi, I checked my friend's Bazi... why is she a strong Water? Even though the Total Favorable Elements are only at 52% while the Total Unfavorable Elements are at 74%, yet end up being strong Water? Could you shed some light on this? Thanks
Staff Robert Lee Posted January 20 Staff Share Posted January 20 It seems there was a bug in the system. I believe it’s similar to an issue reported by another user recently, where the arrow sign for the percentage value didn’t match the element sign. I thought I had resolved it, but after reviewing the code again, I realized there were still a few functions where the fixes hadn’t been applied. This issue primarily affects a small number of Ba Zi Charts, especially in cases involving the extremely weakest element with more than five components. When there are more than five components of this extremely weak/weakest element, it can sometimes become stronger due to the high proportion of that element compared to the others. To account for this situation, a special weightage was applied, but it was slightly too strong, resulting in certain cases where the "greater than" or "less than" sign didn’t align with the actual element sign. I’ve now fixed the issue. The correct calculation displays the Total Favorable Elements as 62.1% and the Total Unfavorable Elements as 58.6%, which corresponds to the correct element sign: Strong Water. https://online.geomancy.net/public/code/html-fs-self-free.php?pay=0&tpl=chart_true_element&username=&gender=2&day=22&month=10&year=1983&hour=7
