Guest
Cecil, I was wondering how do I do a compass reading to determine the sitting/facing direction of my home so that I can do a flying star chart for it? All the ways I've read to do this seem so complicated. Is it true that it doesn't matter which direction the "structural entrance" is, and that you need to go by the mountain/water concept to determine the sitting/facing directions? It really is somewhat confusing. Also, would like to know if I have to have a good chinese compass to do this. Also, would like to know what element the color gray falls under, metal or water?thank you for your time
Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 16, 2000 Staff Share Posted March 16, 2000 Dear Carrie,1. I am not sure if you have tried the method under http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htmIt is easier to use an ordinary compass. 2. All you need to do is to determine the direction of the main entrance door with reference to the centrepoint.3. If one has purchased a Chinese Luo Pan, one would have seen that the needle is small and `difficult' to read properly the exact compass direction. Here, one should use a large compass i.e. not hand held but big ones placed on a floor for greater accuracy.4. The best method is to use the Surveyor's method as highlighed under the above URL mentioned.5. Alternatively, simply get hold of a survey company and pay them to survey the direction of your main door.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 3/15/00 5:11:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:Cecil, I was wondering how do I do acompass reading to determinethe sitting/facing directionof my home so that I can do aflying star chart for it?
