gvelvet
Dear Cecil,The front door of my house faces the back door. In between is a semi-wall that does not reach the ceiling and has a big rectangular opening from the waist up. The semi-wall acts as a shelf. Some people have told me to hang green crystals on the semi-wall, while others suggest placing a mirror or Half Moon and Sun near the back door. What do you think is the best thing to do? Should I follow all the suggestions? We've just moved into the house for a few months, and all of our cash inflow just goes right out. Please help! Your help is greatly appreciated!!Sincerely,Gwen
Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 7, 2000 Staff Share Posted April 7, 2000 Dear Gwen,Where possible, if the front door directly faces the back door, the `screen' has to be `air tight'. Plus where possible no semi-wall to act as a hole for Qi to flow directly out.It is still best to cover up the semi-circular hole. This is still best, when compared to the `other alternatives' you had mentioned which I feel may not be effective. The reason is that Qi must meander gently in and I do not see the `logic' of hanging green crystals. First of all they cannot prevent Qi to flow out to the backdoor and secondly they `cost' money. You may have to explore,`sealing' the hole or a cheaper alternative is to use transparent plastic screw it on the back side or use plywood which is neatly cut and placed on the back side.On money draining, you may perhaps consider doing a full Feng Shui audit, as it may reveal other `hidden' problems.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 4/7/00 4:47:00 PM, Anonymous wrote:Dear Cecil,The front door of my housefaces the back door. gvelvet
Dear Cecil,Thank you very much for your advice. We have temporarily blocked the hole by taping plastic wrap around the hole. The plastic wrap is very thin and can be poked with a finger. Do you think it will help, or do we need to seal the hole with a sturdier material? Also, is it all right if the air sealer is transparent, eg. clear plastic or glass where you can still see the back door from the front door?Thank you,Gwen
Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 10, 2000 Staff Share Posted April 10, 2000 Dear Gwen,1. Currently, the main concern is to allow Qi to meander gently into the house. So clear or transparent is acceptable.2. One characteristic of Qi flowing directly from the front door to the back is a broken marriage, which in many cases, lead to divorce.I have personally seen a few cases, of such characteristics for some homes.3. Taping plastic wrap as you mentioned is only a temporary solution. It would be best to cover it e.g. a decorative plywood laminate as an example.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 4/10/00 1:22:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:Dear Cecil,Thank you very much for youradvice.
