Staff Cecil Lee Posted May 9, 2000 Staff Share Posted May 9, 2000 Dear Anon,1. Some `Western Traditional' School of Feng Shui particularly those who practise Flying Star Theory have concern about the rotation of a metallic fan. To them, it circulates metal and their concern is that if a sector is out of balance and if metal is the catalyst, this is a `concern'.2. In my opinion, looking at the commonsense approach to Feng Shui:Nowadays, many fans no longer have metal blades. And even if the blades are metallic does not mean that it generates `metal'.In view of the above, I personally feel that there should not be any cause for concern over the use of fans. I believe that they are a cheap and economical method of cooling a house. Thus providing comfort to a home. If one were to bring in the argument of air-conditioner, it does have rotary blades even if it is usually plastic and the cooling element is metallic. So, there will always be `arguments' as to its effects. For the fan no one has proven conclusively that it is either good, bad or is neutral.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 5/8/00 10:08:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:Hi Cecil,Is there any issue on mountinga fanon the wall beside the windowsandabove my fish tank ? Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 28 Staff Share Posted July 28 CEILING FANS Are you the man-of-the house with no maid? This could be your arm! LOL - Cecil Lee, Geomancy.net What misconceptions exist regarding the use of ceiling fans in Feng Shui? Are ceiling fans considered appropriate for bedrooms? And what about having one above a dining table?
