Kieron
Dear Cecil, I am consulting two books and I hope you can help. Book #1 is "Feng Shui Step by Step" by T. Raphael Simons, which was recommended somewhere on Geomancy-Forum. Simons describes Lucky Stars and also the Eight Points.#1: Are Flying Stars and Lucky Stars the same thing?#2 Are the Eight Points and the Eight Associations the same things?Book #2 is "Healing Design" by Hope Karan Gerecht. It was given as a gift. Do you know anything about the accuracy of this writer? Also, I have plotted the Eight Points (or Houses) in my house. There are 3 floors in all. On the main level and the upper level, it appears that there is a toilet in the Money point. This distresses me because money has always been an area of worry for me (money was scarce when I was young). Should I keep the bathroom doors shut? How to keep money and qi from running down the drain? I realize that this is a lot of topics in one post but I thank you for whatever advice you can offer.Kieron

If I am not mistaken, one ofthe users here recommended his book. Quote #1: Are Flying Stars and Lucky Stars the same thing? Under Traditional Feng Shui, there is a theory on Flying Stars and anotherset of `stars'. If I am not mistaken, pardon me, I think on the `surface' itlooks like two different things. Quote #2 Are the Eight Points and the Eight Associations the same things? No, the Eight Points (again, if I guess correctly) refers to the Eight HouseTheory or commonly called the Four East/West Group of persons. There arelots of examples of the Eight House Theory in geomancy.net.The Eight Associations is basically an interpretation of each Gua. Forexample, North is referred to as the Career location etc... I realize that this is a lot of topics in one post but I thankyou for whatever advice you can offer. In Feng Shui, you need to assess based on various theories. This includesthe exterior i.e. the landscape, the site and the home not just theinterior. However, contrary to popular belief, we should not look at FengShui just at the " Money point " but look at it from a holistic view orafter doing a complete assessment. Here, if one is too impatient to learn (in time) can always engage areputable Feng Shui practioner. Otherwise, you need to take some time todigest and follow-up.Let's take the word you used " Money point ". I understand everyone wantsto improve their live. But so far, there is no book available to give eachof us a quick fix solution. If someone can easily come up with a book andpoint the direction to the so called elusive ` money point ' then, theauthor should be rich by now else be labelled a swindler.Real Feng Shui is complex and as I mentioned, it is not so easy to find our`money point'. Lets take a look at the Eight House Theory: the main purposeis to find whether we are suitable to a home or location. Other than this,it is personalized to a person's kua number. Although it has it's prosperityintangible force, due to the time factor it shifts. So are we going to daily`chase' after this `elusive' wealth? As the toilet is a yin location, we should make it more yang by making itbright, dry and where possible close the door.Warmest Regards,Cecil -->
Kieron
Dear Cecil,After much thought I think I understand your reply. I've decided that in the end, what matters is my intuition and whether something feels "right" or "wrong" for my situation, rather than letting some authors tell me I should be doing this or that. For example, before I realized that the toilet occupies the Wealth section, I had insisted on keeping the door shut at all times. Now I understand that I was listening to my inner voice. Thanks for your help.Kieron
Administrator
Dear Kieron,Thanks for sharing your thoughts.Yes, glad that you will continue to trust your intuition. Believe me, it ismore powerful sometimes than following all sorts of books and we may end upworse or feel "depressed" having to follow a `set' of routines.Look at it this way, many people have never heard of Feng Shui butbenefitted from their own instincts or `six sense' or `intuition.'Warmest RegardsCecil-----Original Message-----From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed>Date: Wednesday, April 28, 1999 9:37 AMSubject: Re: 'flying stars' or 'lucky stars'?
