Denny
I am very, very new to Feng Shui. I have learned that the door of your bathroom should not open up directly into the toilet bowl. Well...ours does and there is nothing we can do until we remodel and put in a second bathroom. Sooooo.. what can I do to help remedy the situation. I've been reading previous posts and this is what I think I should do: Keep the door closed, keep the lid down, Put a full length mirror on the outside of the bathroom door. Are these correct remedies? Is there something else I can do?Thanks for any advice!Denise
Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 11, 2000 Staff Share Posted August 11, 2000 Dear Denise,1. The main `concern' in Feng Shui is that it is inauspicious to let thetoilet bowl face a location e.g. it can be the dining room table etc...2. Thus based on the concept " If one cannot see the poison arrow or in thiscase Sha Qi, it no longer becomes a threat.3. Therefore, normally closing the toilet door would do. You can consider, the rest of the things you mentioned as `luxuries' i.e. not compulsory to dosuch as keeping the lid down.4. In my opinion, it is not adviseable to place a full length mirror unlessone looks closely at that specific sector. As a mirror is considered able toreflect or `double' the bad luck if that sector is not auspicious.I feel that keeping the toilet door closed is sufficient for such asituation.5. The other thing to look out is the placement of the toilet. Ideally, thetoilet should share one external wall of the house thus ensuring that it isnot at the centrepoint of the house. Other considerations like compassdirection of the toilet is important and this has to be looked at in aholistic way such as doing a full FS audit.Warmest Regards,Cecil----- Original Message -----From: "phototours Listmanager" To: Sent: Saturday, August 12, 2000 6:09 AMSubject: Solutions for toilet bowl placement Quote From: "Denise Farley" I am very, very new to Feng Shui.
