elena
Hello Cecil & Robert: You've heard the expression "good fences make good neighbors"? We need a good fence not only to define and enhance our property, but for child safety and to serve as insulation against street traffic noise. We are installing new windows so that will help reduce the noise alot but I really want a stone fence in front of the property (need earth type fence). My husband does not think it's practical. I know the chinese don't approve of white picket fences or iron bars fence. What kind of fence do you recommend for this situation. Thank you. Staff Cecil Lee Posted November 7, 2000 Staff Share Posted November 7, 2000 Dear Elena,I will get back on this in more detail.Presently, avoid a fence that looks like the attached. As you correctly mentioned, good fence is nice to have.Fences that e.g. use wrought iron i.e. squarish or roundish bars are good. They are equally good e.g. if an arrow head design is pointed upwards.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 11/7/00 2:42:00 PM, Anonymous wrote:Hello Cecil & Robert: You'veheard the expression "goodfences make good neighbors"?We need a good fence not onlyto define and enhance ourproperty, but for child safetyand to serve as insulationagainst street traffic noise. We are installing new windowsso that will help reduce thenoise alot but I really want astone fence in front of theproperty (need earth typefence).
