osotoc
Does the 12 year cycle of the Chinese calender correspond to the orbit of Jupiter around the sun ( or did it ever ) and if so, does the 60 year cycle of the earthly branches and heavenly stems correspond in any way ( or did it ever ) to the combined orbits of Jupiter and Saturn, and would there be any reference material I any use to establish this Thankyou
Staff Cecil Lee Posted February 22, 2001 Staff Share Posted February 22, 2001 Dear Ernesto,To help you better understand the Chinese 60 year cycle, you can visit:-http://www.geomancy.net/fs/calendar.htmand find out more about the Chinese Calendar system which consists of the combination of:-The Ten Heavenly Stems + The Twelve Earthly Branches. You will then be able to understand the " 1 Cycle " of 60 years which is further broken down into Upper, Middle and Lower periods.Happy reading...Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 2/21/01 9:21:00 PM, Anonymous wrote:Does the 12 year cycle of theChinese calender correspond tothe orbit of Jupiter aroundthe sun ( or did it ever ) andif so, does the 60 year cycleof the earthly branches andheavenly stems correspond inany way ( or did it ever ) tothe combined orbits of Jupiterand Saturn, and would there beany reference material I anyuse to establish thisThankyou
