Does the 12 year cycle of the Chinese calender correspond to the orbit of Jupiter around the sun ( or did it ever ) and if so, does the 60 year cycle of the earthly branches and heavenly stems correspond in any way ( or did it ever ) to the combined orbits of Jupiter and Saturn, and would there be any reference material I any use to establish this
Thankyou

Dear Ernesto,
To help you better understand the Chinese 60 year cycle, you can visit:-
http://www.geomancy.net/fs/calendar.htm
and find out more about the Chinese Calendar system which consists of the combination of:-
The Ten Heavenly Stems + The Twelve Earthly Branches.
You will then be able to understand the " 1 Cycle " of 60 years which is further broken down into Upper, Middle and Lower periods.
Happy reading...
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
