hi,
i'm moving into an apartment in nyc which has several brick walls. we love the brick but want to know if we need to balance the brick with another element.
also, is the brick more representative of earth or fire? it is old brick that was uncovered and cleaned so it is not bright red brick but aged.
thanks!

Dear John,
In my opinion, you can consider the (I believe) the beautiful brick facade as a decoration.
It need not be `balanced' directly. You can try to make the apartment as cosy as possible to your taste.
So far, I come across many homes with such beautiful facade and in my opinion do not pose any problems.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
