I have read several books about Feng Shui. Recently I purchased Lillian Too's Little Book of Feng Shui. She says you should not have any pictures or objects associated with water in your bedroom. I had never read that before. The theme in my bedroom is the ocean. I have shells and pictures of my family at the beach as well as other ocean related items. Is this true? Are there remedy's.

Dear Betty,
1. For pictures associated with the ocean, so far, (in my opinion) the belief is not to have a picture of a stormy sea. Or to have a fish tank in the bedroom.
2. But in your case, it is my opnion that it is still perfectly acceptable to have an ocean theme in your bedroom i.e. to have shells and pictures (calm weather pictures).
3. Sometimes, in my opinion such books or authors cause unwarranted/unnecessary alarm to everyone especially if the information is "sketchy ".
`Water' element would be particulary benificial to a person who is either : weak water or strong fire person.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
