elena
Dear Cecil and Robert: How does a FS master tilt the front door? Should a construction crew be present LOL? Thank you!
Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 17, 2001 Staff Share Posted April 17, 2001 Dear Elena,1. Majority of the time, the door is tilted especially if it faces the North-East or South-West.North-East (devil's gate) and South-West (devil's backdoor). One consideration here is that for some FS practitioners, N-E facing door (especially for business) should be changed. The belief here is that `ghosts' travel a straight line and by tilting the door, the belief is then that `ghosts' have difficult going thru the door.In Singapore, a famous case is that of the Hyatt Hotel, located in Orchard Road. Here, the all main entrance doors are tilted at an angle.2. As mentioned above, the above is one of the main reasons for tilting the door. And other considerations, may be felt to be of less importance i.e. tilting to face one's good direction.3. However, some FS practitioners do advice tilting the door to `kill two birds' with one stone' i.e. change the door direction which was felt to be inauspicious to the owner and let it face an auspicious direction for the owner.4. For an Eight House (ONLY) practitioner, he may direct the owner to face the door exactly towards the direction ie. the tilt is e.g. at 90 degrees (East, as an example).Or let the tilted door face exactly 180 degrees etc..5. For a Flying Star practitioner, he may direct the owner to tilt the door based on 15 degree increments i.e. at one of the 24 directions. (For example, having found the good direction such similiar to the "Finding a Good house report " found in www.geomancy-online.com ). As an example.6. Under Para 5, the door is tilted at e.g. 0 degree, 15 degree , 30 degree, 45 degree etc.... The door really faces that particular degree (If one stands at the door and takes a compass reading tangent to the door).7. Usually a good date is chosen to remove/change the door. 8. It is not so much of the construction crew but as mentioned under Para 7, choose a good date to allow the construction personel to start work.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 4/16/01 11:12:00 PM, Anonymous wrote:Dear Cecil and Robert: Howdoes a FS master tilt thefront door? Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 18, 2001 Staff Share Posted April 18, 2001 Dear Joann,1. You may not aware that part of the netiquette is not to use all CAPITAL letters. This is like `Shouting'.2. To use the SEARCH feature; do not type in a whole string of words such as " WHICH WAY SHOULD MY FRONT DOOR FACE ". For basic or advanced Search, do not type in a whole sentence. But rather type specific key words.3. To find out the direction your front door should face, please look thru some of the following references first:-http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htmand how to use the Eight House theory:-http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htmor use the Free online tools at:-http://www.geomancy-online.com4. When you mentioned `What direction a door face' - you have to first understand that one must first find out the centrepoint of the house and then use an ordinary compass to find the direction of the door. Only after doing so then can one `INPUT' the direction of the main door.Alternatively, as mentioned above, INPUT the date of birth into the free tools as mentioned above.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 4/17/01 8:34:31 AM, Anonymous wrote:HI,MY NAME IS JOANN AND I'VETRIED MANY TIMES TO USE YOURWEB SITE TO NO AVAIL.I HAVE LOGGED ON, BUT EACHTIME I TRY TO SEARCH APARTICULAR SUBJECT, IE,"WHICH WAY SHOULD MY FRONTDOOR FACE" ONE OF THE MANYQUESTIONS I'VE TRIEDTO GET AN ANSWER TO, I KEEPBEING RETURNED TO THE 'STARTUP' PAGE.
