Staff Cecil Lee Posted May 1, 2001 Staff Share Posted May 1, 2001 Dear A B,Under traditional Feng Shui, many FS practitioners would recommend that the bedroom colours be in harmony with the element of the child. In addition, the bed should be placed in a favourable position. The study table should face the child's good direction. (All these come under the Eight House theory). The understanding of Yin and Yang concept is equally important. For the bedroom especially for an adult, the bedroom should normally be more `Yin' than yang. As this should be the place of rest for an adult. Unless the adult is taking up studies and staying e.g. in a dormitory. Where, there should be a balance between yin and yang. For a child's bedroom (who is growing up), it is best to have the bedroom more `yang' e.g. brighter colours (wall) or furniture), room full of toys ....In my opinion, bunk beds are acceptable in a children's room. As to whether it is Shui? Not too sure, what you meant by this.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 4/27/01 11:34:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:What would be the best layoutfor a children's room.
