Fish tank or fishes / water in the tank is considered `slow moving' qi(ch'i). The information on suggested colour of the fish tank is found in myfirst book so as the number of fishes to rear depending on a person'spersonal element. For example 9 fishes represent the Metal element and 10 fishes represent theEarth element. On the area of water, do take note that a house should not have more than33.3 percent water. mksay
Cecil/Robert has emphasized before that often times fish tank is used only as a cure, rather than enhancer. To be effective, is it true that fish tank should be "open" to allow Qi to flow into, or it does not matter? This concerns me as my fish tank, by design, is a "closed" fish tank with a bulb at the top.@->--------
Administrator
Dear Rose,Frankly, in my opinion, it does not matter to as the qi flow is `small'.How much can th fishes generate qi or water `disturbance'.It also depends on the size and the type of fish. For example, rearinggoldfish, angelfish etc... I personally feel no effect whether it is open orclosed. But if one is rearing Kois (or carps) or dragonfish, it ispreferable that the top is opened. The reason why, we always mentioned that rearing fish is not considered`fast' moving qi e.g. a waterfall or fountain is because here some Feng ShuiMasters ask this question:-1. When we need to maintain or clean the fish tank, we have to remove waterfrom the tank. This act is symbollic of pouring away `wealth' or water. Youdo not see this happen with a waterfall or fountain.2. What happens when the fish dies?Warmest Regards,Cecil-----Original Message-----From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed>Date: Thursday, May 20, 1999 11:01 AMSubject: Re: Rearing fish Quote From: "Rose Say" This message is sent from "free-advice" Mailing List.Cecil/Robert has emphasized before that often times fish tank is used onlyas a cure, rather than enhancer. reg
Dear CecilThanks for your clarification. Please note that:- Quote 1. Fish tank or fishes / water in the tank is considered `slow moving'qi(ch'i). This is unlike a waterfall or a fountain with fast moving qi.Although fishes are reared as a hobby, in previous messages, I haveemphasised that in terms of Feng Shui, it is used to `correct' sha qi. to begin wtih, my purpose is more to support/boost my career rather than tocounteract sha-qi. but, as time goes by, whenever i look at my littleaquarium, i feel peaceful. so, yeah, its a hobby to me as well now. i mustgo check with aquairum people if guppies and gold fish can 'live' together.i find guppies very colourful and lively. Quote 2. The information on suggested colour of the fish tank is found in myfirst book so as the number of fishes to rear depending on a person'spersonal element. For example 9 fishes represent the Metal element and 10 fishes representthe Earth element. i will check that out. thanks. Quote On the area of water, do take note that a house should not have more than33.3 percent water. Too much water is considered too Yin.Never place a fish tank in the centre of the house. This can causeproblems for the people living in the home. my aquarium is only a small one, 11/2 by 2 by 1 feet, with small gold fishin it. i place it at the SE sector along the SE-East wall. is this alright?smallness of the aquarium is not a problem, is it? remember in my earlieremails way back a couple of months ago, i mentioned that when i startedrearing fish(guppies then), they all died within two weeks. that was when iplaced the aquarium at the north along the north wall. since i re-startedthe rearing again a couple of months ago, and at its new location asmentioned, things look fine.lastly, any comments on candles? yellow, green and white. i read and sawthat they meant something to fengshui too..???thanks again.eve.
