myfs_60040
Hi, i'm very new to taking up feng shui practice. it is very confusing, mostly because we are currently packing, and moving in 5 days. a couple of things if you will... we are moving to an apartment complex. i have planned on doing the flying star chart, have printed the ba gua chart preparring for our move. i'm not sure where our front door is yet, along with other neccessary info. i do know that behind our complex there is a large hill. what sits behind that is a military base. should i be concerned with that? (very general question, i know) next, we have a couple of statues we are very fond of. there are 2 quan yins. i have tried to find appropriate locations for her, where might i find more info? also, a 2 foot buddha bank (mexico makes some crazy things!) it's really quite nice and we want buddha to be in the proper place as well. the back of him has a slot as a bank, would it be condusive to put coins in him? thank you for your patience, blessings, wendy
Staff Cecil Lee Posted May 7, 2001 Staff Share Posted May 7, 2001 Dear Wendy,1. Since you already have confirmed moving into the home, yes, you can check out the house orientation viz a viz the main entrance door after you have moved into the house.2. In macro Feng Shui, the best method to determine how good the site is; is to look at the overall city or county where your home is located.3. We have to remember here that macro Feng Shui is important. The general well being of family households lies with the location i.e. city / county that one's home is located.4. Next, the external environment of your home. As you had mentioned, your house is shielded by a large hill. 5. In general, the prosperity of not only your house but your neighbours in your location is equally important. As for the military base, it has to be looked at in relation to your whole county.6. I do have the same predicament, each time, I want to move or change house. I would aways try to visualise where I can place many of my favourite display figurines such as the buddha statue etc....7. I feel that the easiest to find a suitable place for them is to `treat' these figurines or statues as part of your home decorative items.8. Since you are proud and happy with them, place them as displays where you find comfortable with. Usually, this can be in the living room area or if you have a special room or family room, you can display them with their back behind a wall etc...Wishing you and your family Health, Wealth and Prosperity!
