knives/watches and not so good luck

i have received a watch as a gift 2 years ago and have had bad luck since. i no longer have contact with the presenter. i also bought a set of knives for my ex-boyfriend. what can i do?

To the Chinese, it is unlucky to give especially someone:
1. A clock.
2. A pair of shoes.
But since this is a watch.. it dwells more on beliefs or coincidences.
But generally, it is felt that giving knives is not good since it is symbolic of sharp or pointed objects.
Nevertheless, as relationships are built on communication, trust and interaction of the two parties, if you want to try to continue with your relationship, should perhaps, have a `hard to hard' talk with your ex-boyfriend and see how things goes....
