myfs_61221
First of all, appreciate your generosity in sharing so much useful info.Hope you can offer advice and suggestions for the following concerns, TIA.Questions:1. Based on the flying star natal chart for my home, the NW and W are the most auspicious locations, but I am a kua 9, which conflicts with those afformentioned locations. My bedroom is in the NW, also it's right above my garage, should I move out to another room, I've been sleeping in this room for a year now, no major problem other than occasional insomnia.2. The direction of the main door is determined from inside looking out, what about other doors inside the house, like the bedroom door? Should the direction be taken from inside the bedroom looking out the hallway?3. Based on my ba-zi, my main element is weak fire, I was following the 8 mansion advice to boost the North of my living room with water feature to improve romance luck, would this be in direct conflict with ba-zi? My year heavenly branch is water, I am an OX.thank yousincerely,--curtis
Staff Cecil Lee Posted May 21, 2001 Staff Share Posted May 21, 2001 Dear Curtis,The most effective method is as follows:-1. Use Ba Zi together with Flying Star Feng Shui.2. Knowing one's Ba Zi (element and strength) is crucial. For example: a person with weak wood element.3. For each family member determine their element and strength. Here, for example, for a couple (husband and wife) it is best to determine the `binding' element that helps both parties element `grow'. So that, for example in the bedroom; if the binding element is `water'; then the wall can for example be painted blue or light blue. For the living room furniture e.g. couch blue/black or grey are the best colours to help `bind' the couple.4. Please note that Flying Star Feng Shui can be taken `standalone'. For example if a particular sector has bad wood elements: this can be e.g. neutralised by metal cure such as hanging six coins at that sector.5. Do take note that even if a particular sector e.g. NW and West are considered auspicious sectors (based on the base number interpretation); it does not necessary mean that the particular sector is in balance although generally this is considered a good sector. If there are imbalances such as bad wood or bad earth at this sector i.e. NW, one has to try and neutralise it.6. The Eight House theory is meant more for i.e. if one spents more time at a particular sector. If for example, even if a particular sector is not one of the good sectors; this does not matter much.7. In my opinion, is that your Ba Zi should harmonise with your house. This is the main consideration. When this is `practised' we term this Ba Zi Feng Shui. For example, if one's element is weak wood; in terms of decoration, one should try to add `more' wood to the home or water. As both water and wood helps weak wood person to grow. 8. Do note that this can be distinct to the Flying Star Analysis of the birth chart of the house. For example, at the NW (Period 7 house): Base number for NW is very auspicious. But if there is bad earth element or bad wood element at NW; this has FIRST to be neutralised under Flying Star concept. After the sector's imbalance has been corrected then can we look at enhancing the room to suit the Ba Zi of the person. Please see below:- Quote On 5/20/01 11:28:00 PM, Anonymous wrote:First of all, appreciate yourgenerosity insharing so much useful info. Should thedirectionbe taken from inside thebedroom lookingout the hallway? For Flying Star analysis; the main entrance door is determined by first finding the centrepoint of the house. Then stand at the centrepoint and measure the direction of the door from here. This is to determine the `exact' direction for Flying Star computation where one of the variables is the main entrance door direction (compass degree). There is no purpose in determine the direction of the other doors. Unless one is doing sub-charts i.e. if it is a huge house and one wants to do many Flying Star analysis. Otherwise, this is not necessary.Standing at the door or window and looking out is geared towards; looking for potential threats or Sha or poison arrows aimed into the room or door. For example, a lone lamp post that slices the main entrance door. Quote 3. Based on my ba-zi, my mainelement isweak fire, I was following the8 mansionadvice to boost the North ofmy livingroom with water feature toimproveromance luck, would this be indirectconflict with ba-zi? My yearheavenlybranch is water, I am an OX. For a weak fire person:1. It is best to avoid water positions inside the interior of the home. As this may inadvertently weaken or exhaust your weak fire element.2. It is acceptable; in your case to have a water position at the exterior of your home as this has to do more with Shapes and Forms i.e. activating the water position or having clear space at the frontage of the house.3. For a weak fire person and if you live on your own; it would be advantages to have `more wood element' in your house.Under the Five elements concept: for a weak fire person:Wood helps fire to grow. Fire element can also help fire (but at a lesser extend to grow). Therefore, if you are living on your own (no spouse) then you can consider e.g. having sofa of e.g. green or brown. It is best to avoid, having red sofa, although it can help weak fire to grow but some locations such as South (fire) may not be that suitable for such a colour especially if the bad stars fly into position at a specific period. It is difficult to apply sector Feng Shui such as my romance `luck' is at ..... e.g. SW sector. This concept is too general as it implies that everyone's romance luck is at a specific sector (If we apply the Eight Aspirations or Life Associations `concept').In a very recent forum message, I have provided the various combinations of mountain # and water # and its associations with romance. However, this has to do with the specific house and its associated `romance' luck. Not all houses may have such combinations to help `boost' romance luck. Therefore, one may have to work `much harder' in other areas / socialising etc...Warmest Regards,Cecil
