Dear Anon,
1. Can you confirm whether there are any `poison arrows' threatening your main entrance door.
2. I would normally not recommend using a Ba Gua without a proper reason for doing so.
3. Usually, it is common for the Ba Gua to be hung for the following reasons:-
3.1 To help ward off `sha qi' or poison arrows aimed at the main entrance.
Best to stand at the main entrance looking out of the house.
Look out for poison arrow(s) in the form of a pointed roof of a neighbour's home aimed at the main door or a lone lamp post which seemed to be `slicing' the main entrance or any windows of the room.
3.2 In the `East' it is usually used in conjuction with:-
- Charms written on yellow paper to ward off evil.
- Or a Ba Gua mirror with the two door gods attached to the picture.
The sample picture of Ba Gua mirror with door gods is shown under the following URL:

Warmest Regards,
Cecil
