finding center for apartment?

I'm currently living in apartment, I like know if the method to find center of apartment is same or different from house?

When you are using the ordinary compass, the method is the same for both direction taking of a landed property or an apartment/flat/condominium unit:-

where you can find helpful step-by-step approach in gettting a copy of the layout plan, and using e.g. a transparency to superimpose on the layout plan the North - South direction.
