The master bedroom in my new house has absolutely no place to put my bed except underneath the double window. Is this ok? Could I use some sort of window treatment to correct the problem? All the other walls in the room have either doors or closets.

Dear Debbie,
In my opinion, the concern here is more of `commonsense' approach.
Many of the advise in Feng Shui dwells with `commonsense'. For example, the advise is that it is not good to have a bedroom above a kitchen. Although, fire can happen anywhere in the home, there is some possibility that a fire could break out of a kitchen. As fire, smoke and heat rises; someone living just above the kitchen could be at risk.
In your case, it has more to do with `privacy' and security than "inauspicious" Feng Shui.
In my opinion, so long as you can add e.g. an opaque film or secure the windows, this would be acceptable since there is no where else to place your head. This is unlike a beam above one's head and has lesser implications or no implications if it is secure and there is privacy.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
