staubangela
Bamboo Curse????? (I hope this does not sound too silly)Please help!!! I am having some problems with a bamboo plant I have. About four months ago I trimmed all the leaves off a very health and very fast growing set of three bamboo stalks I have in my bedroom. The reason I trimmed the stalks was because a friend of mine mentioned that it was hard to see the stalks of my bamboo with all the leaves. I did not think it would hurt the plant to cut off the leaves.... Within two weeks of cutting the leaves off my plant all kinds of financial mishaps started happening in my life. I was very surprisingly laid-off from my job. I had lots of unexpected repairs pop on my home and my car. It seemed like all the wealth in my life was on a downward spiral, and at the same time so was my plant... The stalks did not bounce back from the trimming as I expected they would. They became dormant, and displayed no new growth over the past four months. Yesterday I noticed two of my shoots is starting to grow new leaves. And even more surprising than that I have a completely new bamboo shoot growing up from the rocks in the vase. My question is what do I do now??? My first thought is to not touch the growth of the bamboo ever again. My second thought it that with this new shoot I now will have four bamboos shoots in this vase, isn't it better luck to have odd numbers? I am wondering if the new shoot is to replace the third shoot that does not seem to be producing any new leaves. Any suggestion would be really appreciated!!!! Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 27, 2001 Staff Share Posted August 27, 2001 Dear Angela,Apologies, if I side-track a-bit...Two years back, after buying my new home, I grew a bamboo tree. The rationale for bamboo tree was that I calculated, within two years, it would be useful. The reason was because my new house has a personal enclosed space. Althought the house is perfectly suited to me i.e. most suitable house under the Eight House and it also has a double `7' flying star in the current Period 7.Although it is considered an excellent house; like my previous home, it can have a fair share of `poison arrow(s)' that may need to be corrected.Just nice, when I shifted in end of last year, this bamboo tree was there to `cover' or protect my living room from a lone lamp post outside the main road. One of the key element in Feng Shui is: protect, protect and protect... even if it may be considered an excellent home.In your case, can you buy another plant? And place this plant on one side first? When I have the time, I will show a few photographs of what I meant above. In addition, I went out around Singapore Art gallerys looking for paintings with a Dragon theme. I was fortune to have found a painting with a central dragon at the centre and it consists of nine dragons. The interesting thing is because this type of painting can be quite `strong' and powerful, you will not see the author pending his name on this painting. This painting is at the end of my living room wall and in my opinion and my belief, it offers added protection against any other threats. Because, I have a glass frontage e.g. sliding doors at my frontage, this allows this picture's " dragon Qi " to flow out of the home especially when I open the glass panels. Again, at a later date, I will post some photos for all to see. This is how Applied Feng Shui is applied in my personal case.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 8/27/2001 12:45:00 PM, Anonymous wrote:Bamboo Curse?????
