trilbee
Hi. I perused through your site and noticed that when dividing an apt/house into the nine sections it appears that drawing the lines to the rectangler shape apt/house, the apt/house is facing a N, S, E, W in which all sections look like boxes. Shouldn't the alignment [the lines] be based on the direction of your front door? Or, should it be based on the shape of your apt/house? I have a very long rectangle shaped apt [top floor of a private home] in which my front door is SE [at 210 degrees]. As instructed, this position was taken when looking out NOT in. How do I divide into the 9 sections? Again, my front door is SE in which the wall it opens towards is the foundation wall extending the whole length of the apt. If I draw the sections based on the DIRECTION of my front door, the sections will be very long oddly shaped triangles. Is that okay?Or, should I base it on the SHAPE [not direction] of the apt and divide accordingly? it would be much easier doing it this way. Your advise is appreciated.trilbee
Staff Cecil Lee Posted November 14, 2001 Staff Share Posted November 14, 2001 Dear Tril,If you have not reviewed how to find the main door direction, please check out:-http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htmIn the graphic presentation on the above site, you find that at the last part of the presentation, I actually superimposed a circular protractor i.e. 360 degress protractor on the layout plan. Here, you should then mark out i.e. 0 degrees (North), 45 degrees NE, 90 degrees East etc... and this is how you draw a `pie chart' with North, NE, East, SE, South, SW, West, NW.In fact there are two methods of dividing a room i.e. by diving it into 9 equal sectors as what mentioned below or using the `pie chart' method. If you are using a compass protractor, you can easily divide the home into 9 equal parts.Warmest RegardsCecil Quote On 11/14/2001 12:39:00 PM, Anonymous wrote:Hi.
