raekje
I have set up a fish tank with 2 gold fish and one black fish, this has been placed in our study where our business is operated from. The last 2 months, until recently, one gold fish has had a white fungus growing on it but he did not die from it, Now every week the water turns Green with nothing put in the tank to cause it to change colour, it is filtered. The tank goes murky green within a week of being cleaned. I would be very greatful if some one could answer why the tank is doing this. It has only just started to change colour in the last weeks and the fish is getting better. Please help.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted November 27, 2001 Staff Share Posted November 27, 2001 Dear Rae,1. I am glad that your fish is getting well.2. Frankly, I am no expert on fishes /fish tank. Perhaps, I feel that (my guess) that it could be that there is high level of oxigent content in the fish tank.3. Since everything is OK even with the green algae, try to monitor the situation.Let me relate to you an incident:4. Many years ago, one of my friends related to me that their home (landed property) had a orange (clay) roof. After sometime, because of the fallen leaves on it, parts of the roof turned/covered with greenish material. At the time when the roof started to turn greenish, it seems that luck began to pour into their home i.e. his father was lucky in everything. However, regrettably, they decided to get people to wash off the greenish material on the roof. And the roof returned to its clay colour. Things too a turn.It is akin to the idea of a crab. This crab was gradually covered in greenish substance and looks prosperous (or signifies prosperity). But after washing off this green substance, it is like washing away luck. Here, it is another case of " if it ain't broken, do'nt fix it ".Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 11/27/2001 7:02:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:I have set up a fish tank with2 gold fish and one blackfish, this has been placed inour study where our businessis operated from.
