Dear Cecil,
The open ground behind my building is being turned into a garden. They are planning to have a garden fence ? a low wall topped by either barbed wire or a pointed, spiky grill or broken embedded glass pieces ? to keep out all the bad elements. The fence would be about 10 ft. away from the building.
Maybe I am worrying too much, but just wanted to know whether such a spiky design, etc. is bad feng shui for the building residents nearby? Also the garden direction is SE-S. So will such designs bring about bad fortune?
Thanks in advance.

Dear Anon,
If you are staying above ground i.e. > 3nd storey or even 2nd storey, there is little impact on you from the garden/garden fence.
Since the fence is normally not enclosed or closed-up, the ventilation into the ground is still acceptable.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
