Dear Wendy,
Usually if there are the edge of opposite blocks pointing towards your door; normally, the best solution is still the use of a Ba Gua mirror. Especially since, the main door is facing the common chute.
The alternative is to use a semi-circular mat (raditating outwards) placed at the main entrance area. This is less effective to counteract the edge of opposite blocks.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil

In addition, there are few

fengshui to me. How can I
correct these sha-qi?

Dear Cecil,
What kind of ba-gua mirrors should I use? I think there are few types of bagua mirrors available for different uses and I don't wish to end up using the wrong kind of mirrors. Also, how do we choose a bagua mirror?
Since 14 March 2002 is a first day of the 2nd Lunar month, is it considered a good day to hang up the mirror? Also, where do I place it? above my main door or on the parapet outside along the coridoor facing the rubbish chute and the corners?
Please advice.
Wendy.

Dear Wendy,
Due to many queries on the type of Ba Gua mirror to use, I have complied information on the various types.
You need to login to the forum and goto this conference:
Photo Tours of Interest (with pictures)
Look for the recent messages e.g Part I, Part II & Part III. Where I not only list a description of each type but also show pictures of them.
Under the above, you should use the type as mentioned under Part I - Ba Gua mirrors - the models applicable for your case are
Model A, B, C or D type of Ba Gua mirror. Especially if there is a sharp angle of another building aimed at your main entrance door. The above file has explained the various `models'.
If it is for curing "the rubbish chute", I personally feel that Ba Gua mirror may not be appropriate since - it is low level and does not have a poison arrow. If cleaned properly and since it has a cover, there should not be much of an issue. For which, using the Ba Gua mirror is too `strong'. Perhaps, if you can place two plants on either side of the house for the rubbish cute.
As you had mentioned, 1st or 15th of a lunar month is overal an auspicious date.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
