myfs_74938
Hi Cecil,I think I'm finally coming around in understanding the Flying Star Report, with your help of course. Your explanatations make plenty of sense and I now know the use/strength/weakness of this particular report. I also laid out in template from 1-9 the element, auspicousness, descriptions of each star so I can better interpret/analyse the star combinations even though it was all written down for me. This way, I can see the whole picture and reinforce my understanding of the productive/destructive cycle of the 5 elements. My question relates to Activating the Mountain Star.I took the flying star sectors and overlayed them on top of my 8 House Report which has a layout of my house. 4 of the sectors (W,NE,S,Center) indicates that I can Activate a Mountain Star. This sounds too good of an opportunity to pass up, like getting a full house in poker, so I need some clarification. The reports says:"The mountain star works only if an object is either hung on the wall location or something with mass is placed high on a shelf at this location."Can you give me some examples of objects? Would a picture or framed artwork be OK or are their specific Feng Shui items (like windchimes, coins etc) that can be applied. How about some examples with Mass? What comes to mind is a bowling ball but that may not be appropriate. I would think that a heavy object can pose a hazard if it ever fell on someone, no protection here. Also, what's the reasoning behind "There should not be a window in the direction which you are trying to activate." Last question.3 of the sectors in my Flying Star says to use cures.NW - use woodSW - use metalE - use metalSince my personal element is Strong Metal, would the use of the metal cures affect me negatively? Staff Cecil Lee Posted January 28, 2002 Staff Share Posted January 28, 2002 Dear Ben,1. If you have a sketch of your house and where are the locations; the report mentioned that there is a mountain star, you can let me have a look.2. I will certainly be most happy to indicate which mountain star that can be activated.3. I will not go thru your analysis below if you can do the above first. (If it is no problem with u, else, do let me know.4. How to activate the mountain star? Please note that it is best to avoid activating mountain stars (particularly) at the frontage of the house. At the frontage of the house, these are areas where water star(s) should be activated. Water stars usually more to #1 and #7. 5. We can use the Three-step approach to understand Mountain Star:-Step 1. What is the purpose of the mountain star?If we look at the Four Symbolic Animals concept: Mountain refers to the tortise or solid backing. Thus, it is good to place a mountain behind the house (for solid backing or support). The clue here is (at the back) of the house.Step 2. What is it's strength? It can help to further enhance the mountain or symbolically, add stronger support to the mountain.Step 3. What is it's weakness? It must never be used at the frontage of the house! Here, water stars should be activated.6. Final understanding:-Even if there is a mountain star, it must not be activated a the front of the house.Imagine, even if there is a mountain star at the main entrance or living room area or areas that require clear space - one must not place a mountain to BLOCK our path.Else this is considered an obstacle at the front.7. It is best to place the mountain object (or immovable mass) at the back wall or at the back door area of the house. Only then can we activately use it to enhance the back of the house. For those who live in two level houses, it would be best to place the mountain object at the back of the ground level of the house. Thus at the second storey, it is not necessary to do so.8. Objects used for mountain star include paper weights such as a brass or bronze tortise. Or any solid object (even a red brick) or anything immovable.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 1/28/2002 9:05:00 PM, Anonymous wrote:Hi Cecil,I think I'm finally comingaround in understanding theFlying Star Report, with yourhelp of course. myfs_74938
Hi Cecil, The first file is the original layout plan from the builder, taken from the brochure. My house is inverted from the image. The other 2 files have my flying star comments plus 8 house template. Hope it's easier to see now. Thanks
Staff Cecil Lee Posted January 30, 2002 Staff Share Posted January 30, 2002 Dear Ben,Please see attached file with my comments.1. Mountain star(s) if found should only be activated at the back of the house.2. It cannot be activated if say, there is a window or at sliding door(s) or door(s).Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 1/30/2002 12:46:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:Hi Cecil, The first file is the originallayout plan from the builder, taken from the brochure.
