myfs_66874
Last year I purchased the most lovely Chinese lantern. The globe has the symbols for "Spring" & "Summer" etched in the glass. I hate to wait until spring to light it again. Would it be poor judgement of Feng Shui to use it year round? (I haven't been able to find a lantern with the symbols for winter or fall. If you know a source, please advise).thank you
Staff Cecil Lee Posted February 13, 2002 Staff Share Posted February 13, 2002 Dear Marko,1. One would rarely if ever find Chinese lanterns with symbols of `autumn' or `winter' as symbollically these are not suitable on Red Chinese Lanterns.2. In fact, symbolism is important in Feng Shui and you can in-fact, use the globe Chinese lanterns (with spring and summer) all year round. And change them when their colour fade-out or their material worn out.Furthermore, red is considered an auspicious colour and can be used all-round the year. And it does not necessarily mean that during different seasons, one may have to change colour e.g. black or white = winter (colour).Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 2/11/2002 7:21:00 PM, Anonymous wrote:Last year I purchased the mostlovely Chinese lantern.
