Hello! MY name is Cheryl Beacham and for my senior project through my high school I'm required to do an interview with an expert on my topic. I am writing a paper on Feng Shui and was wondering if you could please answer my questions!
1.) Please explain in detail the differences between Form school and Compass school.
2.) Could you explain the history and use of the sectors used in Compass School(marriage/love sector for example)
3.) Why are the four celestial animals so important to Form School?
4.) Can you explain the cycles( destructive, reproductive, productive)?
5.) Why is the astrology side of compass school so important?
6.) Why do you believe Feng Shui is a true science?
7.) Why is Feng Shui's principles of chi so important?
8.) Can you explain how a person would apply the compass school to their home?
9.) How does the flow of Chi affect ones personal life?
10) How was the concept of Chi born?
11.) When was Feng Shui first used?
12.) How has it changed since then?
13.) If there is bad chi present in a room, for example a sailor's kitchen, and there is no way to remedy the problem does that mean you just suffer in that area or is there always a way?
14.) Does Feng Shui help all problems in a home owner or are some problem like mental disorders just too hard to cure with Feng Shui?
15.) In modern times do you believe that Feng Shui is practical practice?
Thank You so much for your time! :)

Dear Thomas,
1. Since you are writing a paper on Feng Shui, in my opinion, it would be appropriate in many of the questions for you to do some homework (rather than being spoonfed on some easy answers).
2. To help you further, please sent a personal e-mail to support@geomancy.net so that I can credit you with Paid credit on the book " Applied Feng Shui " - where I will direct you there to find some of the answers to certain questions. In order to do so, you must have created a an account at http://www.geomancy-online.com. Let us know the account.
3. Therefore I would:-
3.1 Refer you to my book if answers can be found there.
3.2 Questions that need an appropriate answer - I will answer them.

I'm required to do an
interview with an expert on my
topic. I am writing a paper on
Feng Shui and was wondering if
you could please answer my
questions!
1.) Please explain in detail
the differences between Form
school and Compass school.

Can be found in the Applied Feng Shui book (as mentioned above).

2.) Could you explain the
history and use of the sectors
used in Compass
School(marriage/love sector
for example)
History of Compass School can also be found in the book.

For the sector Feng Shui or Eight Aspirations/Life Associations - use the Free report at http://www.geomancy-online.com and generate a free report there. You will find an explantion on the use of this report.

3.) Why are the four celestial
animals so important to Form
School?

You can review the resources here:-
http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-four.htm
And you can find the importance or key essence in my book " Applied Feng Shui ".

Quote
4.) Can you explain the
cycles( destructive,
reproductive, productive)?

Go here:
http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm

Quote
5.) Why is the astrology side
of compass school so
important?

Chinese astrology is closely related to Pillars of Destiny. And not Compass School Feng Shui.
Where Pillars of Destiny and Chinese astrology use similar `objects' or elements i.e. the 12 Chinese zodiac signs. Pillars of Destiny not only includes this but more.

6.) Why do you believe Feng
Shui is a true science?

Read the " Applied Feng Shui " book and try to draw your own conclusions here.

Quote
7.) Why is Feng Shui's
principles of chi so
important?

Find out more in the book.

Quote
8.) Can you explain how a
person would apply the compass
school to their home?

Read up the topic on Compass School in the book.

Quote
9.) How does the flow of Chi
affect ones personal life?

Qi (Chi) is used in all areas of Chinese culture. From Chinese martial arts, acupunture to Feng Shui. And qi (the invisible force) can be cultivated.

Quote
10) How was the concept of Chi
born?

You can read the introduction on Qi in the book.

Quote
11.) When was Feng Shui first
used?

Refer to the book.

Quote
12.) How has it changed since
then?

Rather than answer this question. You should try to look around more Feng Shui sites and even Feng Shui emporiums. To see the level of commercialisation that may have gone into it.
In particular the Black Hat Sect has taken Feng Shui to another level = the greatest commercialised scheme or modern invention that gives Feng Shui a bad name.
You should try to look at or find out more about Feng Shui sites:
Traditonal Feng Shui sites
Black Hat sect sites
FS emporiums

13.) If there is bad chi
present in a room, for example
a sailor's kitchen, and there
is no way to remedy the
problem does that mean you
just suffer in that area or is
there always a way?

An authentic Feng Shui practitioner should be able to cure bad Qi. the only thing that he/she cannot cure is external factors - such as if a house is at a T junction etc... Here, it can still be corrected. But houses predominantly with really bad Shapes and Form may not be cured entirely.

Quote
14.) Does Feng Shui help all
problems in a home owner or
are some problem like mental
disorders just too hard to
cure with Feng Shui?

Feng Shui is not a cure all. Each Feng Shui concept has its purpose or aim. And also the strength and weakness.
Some things are better cured with modern medicines.

Quote
15.) In modern times do you
believe that Feng Shui is
practical practice?

What do you think? It is good instead for you to come to a conclusion.
In my opinion, I totally enjoyed the proper use of Feng Shui. And if it is properly applied - yes - it is of practical use.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
