Dear Cecil,
My husband and myself have financial problem ever since we got married. we thought that it might be our house "feng shui" so we sold our 5-room flat off to buy a small house which is 4-room flat. Initially we are quite happy because we made a profit from the house we sold but later we realize that we had spent our money and worse thing is that we don't even know what we spent on and the money are gone, first of all we don't spend on luxury.
we are quite puzzle is there gonna do with "feng shui" and how to prevent to have the financial problem.thanks

Dear Anon,
In my opinion, it is difficult to pin-point your actual problem.
The rationale here has to do with the concept of " Quantum Leap " in Feng Shui.
For example, you may have inadvertenly chosen an "average house".
One key ingredient of an average house is that its `wealth retention' is not fantastic if compared to e.g. houses with " Quantum Leap " in Feng Shui.
Houses with quantum leap have specific characteristics:-
1. Excellent location (not just the land on which it sits but the site or surrounding site).
Here, good shapes and form prevail.
2. It uses the concept known as `receiving wealth'.
For example, imagine two hands clasp together to "receive wealth". Many of the houses with quantum leap in Feng Shui have such characteristics.
Either:
1. it is e.g. in a nice basin where if we put our two hands together, it receives wealth or able to retain it. Such landform have houses that are in this basin. And it is able to create wealth.
Good examples are the private esates along Yio Chu Kang road where the houses are not "spectacular" or noticeable where to get to the place, the road usually slope down.
Even, estates like `Opera estate' in the East coast is in a basin configuration.
Contrast this to public housing where, many of the apartments sit on an artificial hill or raised land area. Imagine, the difficulty in retaining wealth.
Apologies, if I had gone off track abit, but this is to highlight the `expectations' e.g. in a house.
If the house is an avearge house and coupled by the fact that it may or may not be as suitable for the owner, would mean that even if Feng Shui is applied, the return is marginal. I.e. there may not be a `miracle cure' or quantum leap in Feng Shui luck.
But rather, such houses are best or most effective if there are problems related to health or misfortunes.
I am not pulling your hopes but, I have to be honest and realistic on this aspect. My aim here is that one may have to be weary especially if one approaches a FS consultant who may promise the world but could not deliver.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil

Dear Anon,
Further to what I mentioned, a house Feng Shui can be summarised broadly (GENERALLY) into the following categories:-
Type 1
======
Excellent house with breadwinner suitable
Excellent house with breadwinner `unsuitable'
Here, it does not really matter much. Wealth creation is favourable.
Type 2
======
Good house with breadwinner suitable
Good house with breadwinner `unsuitable'
Feng Shui can boost the house. Not to Type 1 level but can give a significant boost.
Type 3
======
Average house with breadwinner suitable
Feng shui can help to boost some luck. When comes to money, it can be smooth flowing i.e. must work for money. If lucky, or favourable shapes and form enhanced, can help to boost to Type 2.
Type 4
======
Average house with breadwinner `unsuitable'
Feng Shui can help to boost it to a Type 3 house. Can try for Type 2 living standards.
Type 5
======
Inauspicious (poor) house - especially with inherent Shapes and Form Feng Shui.
For example, inasupicious house where the house itself is sloping backwards or toilets placed at inauspicious sectors etc...
If it is impractical to shift the toilet then e.g. not much can be done other than try to boost other luck.
Please note the " Excellent/good/average.. house " refers more to good Shapes and Forms.
And suitable or unsuitable, in general refers to the Eight House Theory. Or if Ba Zi is used, then Ba Zi Feng Shui.
Overall, Flying Star Feng Shui can be considered `neutral' to all of the above senarios. As it can help any type of house e.g. Type 1 to 5 in balancing the birth-chart of the house.
It is recommended that for houses especially those that fall under Type 1 onwards, Ba Zi or Pillars of Destiny be used in-conjunction. Overall, Ba zi Feng Shui is a better option for any type of house e.g. Type 1 to type 5.
I have given a general overview of a very general classification of houses into Type 1 to 5. Overall, how to know which type of house I have?
If you have stayed in the house for 2 or more years, in general, one can broadly classify the house based on i.e. Excellent, good, average or inauspicious/poor house.
For a new house, the clue is usually based on Shapes and Form Feng Shui. And how suitable or unsuitable, can generally be known using Eight House. Or for more advanced users, Ba zi in relation to the house.
Here, I mentioned in past forum messages;
"For example if one purchased or had inadvertenly purchased a four door car. The most one can sit or squeeze 5 or 6 people at the most in the car.
To squeeze more than that is impractical i.e. tie the person or persons to the roof, bonnet etc...
Thus, in such situations, a MPV which can sit 6 or more people would then be practical.
One cannot squeeze what one had inadvertenly paid for ... for more and more.
This is known simply as " Practical Feng Shui at work ". And it is not good to hear from a FS practitioner " that.. no, there is no such thing. Employ my service and I will do wonders for you ".
In such a situation, cavet emptor.. let the buyer beware! One may most likely be `conned'. Quantun Leap cannot exist for every situation or every home.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil

Further to what I mentioned earlier, there can also be a 6th category i.e. Type 6 - Houses that no human can live in.
Fortunately, this type of house is either rare or has been built badly under shapes and forms. Where, one can still stay in the house but may bring calamity to the owners.
General example: frontage facing a hill. Or `chopping' off the head of the house to build a new extension.
Or a house where on both sides is surrounded by a house on each side. Here, both breadwinner can `die' in the space of 1 year after they have moved in.
Note: this type of house is `rarer'.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
