myfs_79037
Hi Cecil,i notice that when i look out of from my living area, there are cars making a round about at the circle road as is a one way direction. So actually there are people advised me that those cars are actually pointing the 'poison arrow' at my place, meaning when they come in the circle the edge of the front bumper is pointing and when the cars complete the circle, the edge of the back bumper is pointing as well. But i read on some books that to have this circle loop infront of the house is good.So now i am quite confuse is it good or not....please advise and if not good do i have to counter it? Advise is to put two copper tortoise outside the window to block it.Thks
Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 11, 2002 Staff Share Posted March 11, 2002 Dear Chee Siong,1. Yes, this is a recent and very common sight in HDB (Housing and Development Board's) design of not just your apartment but of many apartments.2. Usually, the driveway or drop-off point is a single lane road.In my opinion, there is not much issue or worry with it. Even though one may worry that it looks like a partial `sickle' e.g. as found under the previous Russian communist flag. Where the sickle is like a Sha Qi or poison arrow. The rationle for not worrying is that it is not elevated and it does not pose a problem.Contrast this with e.g. a railway or mass rapid transit rail tracks. If one stays at e.g. storey or floor/unit 3, and if so happens that the railway track `cuts-in' or slice into the floor/unit 3, and if one's home is just directly at it's path, this will have a major impact on that unit. Therefore, usually if one stays at higher floors, there is no issue or impact. In fact, I have audited several condominiums which also have this circular drop-off points and they are even larger as they `circle' between two or more drop-off points. For example: Parc Oasis Condominum, in Jurong - next to the MRT station. But if one is living on a landed property, then, it would pose a concern since, it will affect the house Feng Shui in particular a single or double storey house. Otherwise, because of the mass of your building and the `threat' is not an elevated threat nor is it a vertical one where you there is a sharp corner aimed at the full height of the building, this is not major or considered of relatively low threat - if any.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 3/11/2002 9:45:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:Hi Cecil,i notice that when i look outof from my living area, thereare cars making a round aboutat the circle road as is a oneway direction.
