I am a wood element person and my kua number is 3, the problem is, my good direction is east but my front door is already facing west. I am new to Feng Shui and did not know about this when my house was being built. Are there any sugestions to what I can do to surpress the negative chi?

Dear Andrew,
The Eight House theory is limited and does not offer any cures to a situation.
Overall, you can try to check further what influence (intangible) force is also .. at the bedroom location.
Basically, if your ideal door is at East but since your main door is at West, it is only but a small puzzle in a bigger zig-saw puzzle. And since it is only a part of the puzzle, i.e. to say how suitable the house is or not.. it is thus considered secondary.
Perhaps, you can see if you can further increase your Shapes and Form Feng Shui. By reading thru some of the resources on it. As often, Shapes and Form can if done correctly provide a signficant boost.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
