myfs_80492
Cecil:I have an open air porch in front of my house that has 3 square pillars that help to hold up the overhang that shades the porch. 2 of the pillars are on either side of the main door to the house and one of the pillars is to the far left of the main door. I have heard that square pillars are bad because the sharp corners send out shar chi. Can you suggest a cure?
Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 10, 2002 Staff Share Posted April 10, 2002 Dear Julie,Thank you for your description. In my opinion, it looks like your main door is not under any `threat'. A `threat' is where one of the pillars seems to slice thru the main door i.e. if one stands at the main entrance looking out; one of the pillars should not be slicing into the main door area.Overall, in my opinion also, the square pillars are of minimal or negligble `threat'. This is unlike the `mass' of a large building's edge. In my opinion, it is perfectly acceptable in your situation (unless one of the pillars slice thru the main entrance door area). If this is the case, a 6 rod metal wind chime can be used above the main door. Or the placement of two potted plants on each side of the main entrance.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 4/7/2002 5:12:00 PM, Anonymous wrote:Cecil:I have an open air porch infront of my house thathas 3 square pillars that helpto hold up theoverhang that shades theporch. 2 of the pillarsare on either side of the maindoor to the houseand one of the pillars is tothe far left of the maindoor.
