myfs_80595
hello, I'm just wondering would a load bearing wall in the basement be the same as a beam or is it also unfavourable just like the beam? Thanks for your answer in advance.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted May 2, 2002 Staff Share Posted May 2, 2002 Dear Anon,Single stretch of load bearing wall which looks like beams is considered `sha qi'.However, do take note that:-1. If one does not sit under it, there is relatively no issue. For beams, if one sits below it for more than 1 1/2 to 2 hours each day for a year, the `effects' (negative) can be felt.2. Do take note that multiple beams that are close to each other e.g. 1 feet interval or less and lots of it that looks like stripes do not pose a problem.Only single beams should be considered.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 5/2/2002 9:34:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:hello, I'm just wonderingwould a load bearing wall inthe basement be the same as abeam or is it alsounfavourable just like thebeam?
