Hi,
7 can be a good or bad sectors depends on whether your house is built in period 7 (1984-2003) or some other periods.
You cannot get take 1 star itself and say whether it is good or bad. You have to analyse it in comparison to the Mountain and Water Star and also with what room that sector falls under.
Generlly, for the house, the center of the house where all the forces of influence converge, you should leave it as empty or neutral as possible.
Once you know what other stars are there, then you can apply cures to it like Metal cure or Wood cure or Fire cure.
Hope that helps.
Warmest Regards
Robert Lee

The 7 is in the center on the flying star report in period 7 - the 20 year report. The house was built in 1985. My number is 2 and my husband is 1. The 9 areas are: 8,3,1, north. Starting west 9,7,5 in the middle row. 4,2,6 bottom (south). We really love this house & want to buy it, but the former owners were forclosed on & the bank is selling it. With this history I want to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Frankly, it is not in the spirit of this forum to simply quote all these figures.

This is because it is so easy to quote raw data in only just a few lines and wait for a full assessment.
Imagine, if every forum member does this, I am not sure how I am going to manage it.
There are already specific tools available. Or make use of any competent FS practitioners anywhere.
So, I really appreciate if users do not simple quote such information. Especially in this forum since it is specific only to that individual. As another person's home will certainly not share the same stars or Gua (Kua) number.
It is best to use a three-step approach to form the basis of solid grounding in Feng Shui:
1. Understand the purpose of each concept
2. What are it's strengths
3. What are it's weakness.
For example, most of the time, the numbers you had quoted are based on Flying Star.
In fact, if we dwell further into Flying Star, it is to look at sectors using The Five Elements concept and nearly all sectors of the Flying Star can be neutralised.

Let's take a realistic look: this may or may not be true:
"It is no use beautifying the four walls in a house if all else outside crumbles."
For example, it is no use having a lovely home if all your external walls are going to collapse. This may be an exaggeration but, one must try to find out more about Shapes and Forms or for those who want to take a short cut may have to get expert or professional help to do so.
Even in the interior, fatal errors may occur for e.g. :-
1. toilet next to main door WITH
2. toilet at the centre of house WITH
3. the main door facing a staircase.
Going forward, it is best to understand that the main purpose of this forum is to serve as a catalyst in better understanding Feng Shui.
Or, if users have already pre-analysed data and need further clarification, feel free to do so. Time is a constraint and it is better to concentrate on exceptions or helping people than to go do all sorts of homework.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
