myfs_89394
Hello Cecil & thanks in advance. One of the rooms in our rental townhouse is our home office. I was born March 28, 1961 in Puerto Rico, US Territory and so I believe my personal Kua number is 3. My desk shares the southwest corner of the room and a small part of the south section. I want to active the fame sector. Shouldn't I do this with a red/fire element. Currently I have a lava lamp that has red lava bubbling in a clear liquid. Does this act as a fire element or does the liquidity of the lava lamp cancel this out? Also, I know that our townhouse is not laid out ideally for good feng shui. The townhouse is oriented north/south but is between other units. The front door is on the north side of the townhouse but actually faces east into the front porch with opens to the north. The garage is to the south and once inside the garage we pass through a small courtyard to a southfacing back door through which we enter. It's an odd situation. Anyway, back to the main question, can I activate the fame sector of my business by placing a red lava lamp in the southern section of my home office. I'm a realtor and work primarily from home.Thank you so much,Mark HoggardOklahoma City, OK
Staff Cecil Lee Posted January 13, 2003 Staff Share Posted January 13, 2003 Dear Mark,For questions such as " fame " unfortunately, this is never discussed in Traditional Authentic Feng Shui forums such as this one.If you like to practice geniune, Traditional Authentic Feng Shui, it is best to patiently go thru resources devoted to Authentic Feng Shui.Warmest Regards,CecilHint: Always look at the "bigger picture" first: not just the four walls that each of us stay-in, first. Staff Cecil Lee Posted January 13, 2003 Staff Share Posted January 13, 2003 Further to what I mentioned below,1. I have one interesting question on concepts such as "fame/recognition".2. What happens if one does not own a house. Perhaps, one excuse is that at least one stays in a tiny room and can enhance such factors.3. But what really if one does not have a home at all? Can we translate that we will not have fame / travel etc...4. Traditional Feng Shui, in it's original sense looks at very broad pictures, first. For example, a large city such as Canton etc... and even the entire island of Singapore. 5. And the next big picture is the landscape, the site and building we work or live in.6. In my opinion, even in my country many FS practitioners are only focusing within the four walls of their clients.7. And invoke the high importance of `wealth corners'. But forgetting or not aware of the need to fix leaks if any.8. Having a single wealth corner can still fail us in our `Feng Shui' examination.9. Imagine, if we were to stay in an apartment, how many wealth corners can we support without finding no more space to move around?10. This is different for the wealthy. Since, they can fully afford larger homes with very good shapes and forms and can literally pave their entire house in gold. Right even into their toilets e.g. gold plated toilet seats, gold/gold plated wash basin knobs. Warmest Regards,CecilP.S. This is food for thought for those who look only at `sector' Feng Shui. And some even sigh... when they enhance the so-called wealth sector; and to make themselves comfortable; may say to themselves perhaps, 2002 was a bad year for her since it is the Year of the horse. And blame it as such.
