myfs_82630
I have a question about "Zhong" or "Fan" Tai Sui. In Hong Kong where I live, there's no mention about the Chinese zodiac Dragon in conflict with Tai Sui. However I saw a poster at the Siong Lim Temple (Kim Keat - Singapore) indicating that it is. So I offered prayers on behalf of my son (born in 1988). Can you explain the disparity? What happens if "Dragon" is not in conflict and I've offered prayers? What are the implications? Staff Cecil Lee Posted February 24, 2003 Staff Share Posted February 24, 2003 Dear Anon, Quote On 2/24/2003 5:23:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:I have a question about"Zhong" or "Fan" Tai Sui.In Hong Kong where I live, there's no mention about theChinese zodiac Dragon inconflict with Tai Sui. Chinese astrology is too general. Last year, Tai Sui was exactly at 180 degrees or South (Fire Horse). Under Chinese astrology, the main `conflict' of the Horse is the Rat. In general, overall, it is said that the Rat would not have as good year in the Year of the Horse.Chinese Astrology, frankly (in my opinion) is too simplistic as many take into account only the YEAR of birth. Perhaps, it is to encourage the offering of prayers (with or without substance) - erh..my opinion only.Perhaps, to me, I draw a parallel to a poster that says " Brushing teeth to prevent decay ". And children in school do so together. Quote Can you explain the disparity? What happens if "Dragon" isnot in conflict and I'veoffered prayers? What are theimplications? Frankly, I do not see any harm since physcially at home; Grand Duke has not been distrubed or touched in any way.Warmest Regards,Cecil
