Staff Cecil Lee Posted February 26, 2003 Staff Share Posted February 26, 2003 Dear Dominique,Please see below:- Quote On 2/25/2003 11:57:00 PM, Anonymous wrote:Dear Master Lee:Please help me with somequestions on flyingstars.....I've been readingand researching your advice toothers for several days andthere are still so much moreto learn....I'm confusedabout: Expand I would strongly recommend new users to use the SEARCH feature in this forum. We have purposely allowed anyone to SEARCH freely into this huge resource. We have not considered, archiving it, nor charge anyone for the messages which are written by real people on real issues.Like examinations, the key success is to read thru some of the essence of the messages. We have never dreamed of charging anyone for the information. And will continue to leave it available. For those who, find the information useful, can help support us by other means. Quote - Which is better: "control"or "weaken" the bad stars ? Expand Each has it's merits and demerits. Frankly, there is no ONE right or wrong answer to this. For example, if a room has bad #5 or #2. Since these are bad earth elements;Under the Five element concept, seemingly: Wood can be used to crush or destroy bad earth i.e. control it.But this can be a double edged sword if: Fire is introduced say in the room. As a result; the introduced WOOD, would help fuel FIRE which will inturn fuel more bad earth.Given this; it would be in such a situation - better to use Metal. Since it can help to weaken Earth. Thus, on a more cautious side, I would say, METAL is a better choice. Quote - The living room is whereyou relax to watch tv andlisten to music...but is itconsider yin or yang area ?? Expand This is not as important as:1. How much natural light filters into this area? 2. If there is no natural light (quite dark); one can compensate it by turning on artificial light.Frankly, this is not a major issue here. Although it sounds interesting to `bark-up' this tree; this is not the main concern in Feng Shui. Quote - Does one compare theinteraction of the Mountainand Water stars or do youplace more emphasis onMountain star if the locationis a bedroom ? Expand If one is proficient with Shapes and Forms, frankly, one do not really need to rely on Flying Star or numerology of it in Feng Shui. This is because " Water stars " or activiating it is as easy as making sure that at the frontage e.g. main door or living room or balcony area, there is clear space. However, for mountain stars (if found), under Flying Star, it can only be activated at the `back' or a solid wall or a symbolic wall or support. As much as we like to wishfully activate a mountain star - it would be silly to activate it at the main door. For example, isn't it silly to place a rock above the main door? Commonsense tells us that law of gravity can effectively bring down this rock dropping it on someone's head - if they are unlucky enough.Similarly, why place a mountain to block our water (clear space) at the front? Symbolically, it is like giving ourselves `difficulty' each time we step into the house. Therefore, mountain star(s) can be activated only on set conditions. And even if it is found at the frontage - it is fool hardy to activate it.Warmest Regards,Cecil
