myfs_94137
Dear Cecil,I noticed that majority of houses built here in california are on the top of the hills and houses with better values are those which have panoramic views (backyard with downhill slopes facing a valley or open space). And also, I visited a lot of communities in which the houses have the stove built at northwest corner, or staircase facing the main entrance, etc.. I believe that every living being is under the influence of the Fengshui and not just those who are aware of or appreciate it. However, as far as I know, most people who live in those california houses I mentioned above are not aware of Fengshui but happy and lots of them are millioniers. My question is why people live in a obvious bad fengshui house but still have a prospective life. I would much appreciate for your comment.Thanks.Bing
Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 2, 2003 Staff Share Posted July 2, 2003 Dear Bing,1. Thank you for bring up this interesting observation:)2. In Chinese Luck system; it is well known that there are three kinds of luck:2.1 Heaven Luck - what is given to us.2.2 Earth Luck - Feng Shui2.3 Human Luck - E.g. relationships3. Often if one observe carefully, the rich has a mix of the above three luck or at least two of these "luck".4. For Earth luck, as what you had describe;4.1. Often the side where there is paranomic view; is often considered as the frontage of the home.4.2. If one follows carefully; the observations: Usually, if there are leaks, in a home; often, it is not caused by one single leak but several leaks.4.3 Leaks can be e.g. inauspicious Ba Zi, the home etc...5. Often, such homes themselves, have overriding excellent qi i.e. they are auspicious and have good qi.For example, a bungalow, is relatively good because, it has four sides. And wind or qi can circulate properly.6. One important point; that is often missed here; has to do with many localised Feng Shui in a built up city like Singapore.7. Therefore, often when one reads messages posted by people in my country or neigbhouring country; often one may read some `conflicting' information or limited information. For example, in Singapore, we do not have that many hill tops. And even if we have they are either `man-made' or not higher than 30 metres or more. Thus, there is few examples in this area. In fact, we have more `lowlands' and this is where, quite alot of the rich - often resides at.8. Recently, there is a new launch of Lornie Hill condo. As the word hill suggests, it is on a hill. But, for this hill, imagine, it does not need a manual car to put to 1st or second gear. In fact, if there are simply no cars on the road, a recent make car, can easily sprint along this road.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 7/2/2003 4:40:17 AM, Anonymous wrote:Dear Cecil,I noticed that majority ofhouses built here incalifornia are on the top ofthe hills and houses withbetter values are those whichhave panoramic views (backyardwith downhill slopes facing avalley or open space). myfs_94137
Dear Cecil,Thank you very much for the quick response. I am quite understand now about the houses on hilltops. But how about those houses having the stove sit right at the northwest corner which burn the breadwinner's luck? My friend is hesitate to move in such a house but all the neighbors who have the same floorplan seem to have lived there peacefully for years.I also have another question concerning about the four animal symbols. In your major Fengshui theories online, you describe the north is tortise and south is phoenix. The house should sit against the hill (tortise, north) and facing the south. But my house is facing the north (open space) and against a hill (south). As you can see, it is in totally opposite direction. Where should I apply the tortise and the phoenix? Should it now south is the tortise and north is the phoenix? This may sound a silly question. But I am just a little bit confused. Thank you.Bing Quote On 7/2/2003 10:19:09 AM, Anonymous wrote:Dear Bing,1. Thank you for bring up thisinteresting observation:)2.
