myfs_94952
hi sir, i would like to find out more abt how the fengshui affect the design of Hyatt Hotel..in this case, after i have read some of your comments on this forum, i understand that Hyatt Hotel, Spore is design in such a way that it is using the 'Castle Gate Theory'. Can you explain more on this theory?y is the door tilted in 45degrees and not other degrees?y is it that in Hyatt's case it will only work with the 'Time Dimension'?what do you really mean by the time dimension thingy?Carol
Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 30, 2003 Staff Share Posted July 30, 2003 Dear Carol,Some pictures of the Hyatt can be seen here:-http://www.geomancy.net/mypictures/cgi-bin/mypictures.cgi?img=0&search=hyatt&cat=all&bool=and&x=11&y=17In fact, I had taken many more and these pictures are lying somewhere in this vast resources - of the Ming Tang or bright hall (water feature) outside the Hyatt Hotel in a semi-circular arch radiating out of this site.I also remembered several write-up which I had written on the purpose and ideas behind the "Castle Gate Theory".I remembered, placing a few articles under the topic: Feng Shui Tips - but nevermind, simply do a search under this forum for " Castle " or "Castle Gate" to find out more.I also remembered, that I mentioned also this theory in relation to the "Time-dimensions" or Flying Star.the time dimension Quote thingy? For the "time dimension thingy"; it simply refers to the "Compass School - Flying Star Feng Shui" which is based on time periods e.g. house built between 1984 to 2003 is under Period 7 etc...I would expect NEW users here to do a search especially in this forum for words like "Flying Star" etc... or nearly any subject that you are interested in e.g. fountain, fish tank, steps. You can usually find answers faster this way. And, if a question often is repeated, I may not even approve it - when I moderate the questions posted. Worse, the question may end up in the "trash-bin" - Samples that were not answered to.."Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 7/30/2003 3:02:55 AM, Anonymous wrote:hi sir, i would like to findout more abt how the fengshuiaffect the design of HyattHotel..in this case, after ihave read some of yourcomments on this forum, iunderstand that Hyatt Hotel,Spore is design in such a waythat it is using the 'CastleGate Theory'. Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 31, 2003 Staff Share Posted July 31, 2003 Dear Carol,1. Yes, times have changed.2. In the past, Feng Shui was `local' to the country of China. This is where the `yellow' dust blows south in the country. And often, homes e.g. in Beijing faces South to avoid the cold winds and dust going into homes.3. But look again, your statement may be true for the Chinese in their "motherland" but it is no longer true for overseas Chinese.4. We are now entering or pratising "Globalised Feng Shui" all over the world.5. We often heard of the term "black magic". Where people like bomohs or vodoo practitioners do bad or harm to people. Often, we see western shows where needles are nails were pricked into dolls.6. On the other hand, there is also black Feng Shui. For example; even in Singapore, some foreign developers bring along Feng Shui practitioners to advice them on buildings that can absorb wealth from other buildings. These Feng Shui practitioners scan the other buildings and advise their clients to build in a certain design.7. A classic example is in Hong Kong where Bank of Chinabuilding was Feng Shui to try and draw wealth from it's surroundings. If you do visit Hong Kong, do stare upwards at the HSBC building. You can see TWO HUGE "CANNONS" aimed towards the Bank of China building.8. `White' Feng Shui as the term suggests is to build YOUR BUILDING or advise a client to built a building in harmony with it's surrounding or even if it does not harmonise - at least it does not have sharp corners or even things like reflective glass and other designs that becomes a poison arrow/sha qi to it's neighbours.9. For example, in Singapore, if one stares carefully at the UOB building, it does not have poison stars aimed at it's lower twin tower. But instead, `emit' sha qi all around. The UOB building is also like a tall thin tree or considered as wood element. Here, under the Five elements concept: Wood crush earth e.g. DBS tower 1 and DBS tower 2 are earth element. OCBC building is also earth element. 11. In addition, OUB bank building is a fire element. And UOB (being wood element) helps fuel fire element. 12. In my opinion, the most black Feng Shui building around is The Gatewayhttp://www.streetdirectory.com.sg:8080/map.jsp?x=30777.66&y=31305.566&star=1&xyfile=&level=7&heading=100+BEACH+ROAD%2C+SHAW+TOWERS+%28189702%29&oldX=30605.39&oldY=30985.95&postal=189702&Click+Any+Point+To+Centralise+Map.x=259&Click+Any+Point+To+Centralise+Map.y=239It is very bad luck to build any building "above it" e.g. at the plot of land just across the road above the "red star" indicator. In fact, I know of several people who had sighted "spirits" in one of the two towers. This is what `black' Feng Shui is all about. In the past, as mentioned in some of my past messages, "Monks" who practise or advise on Feng Shui often, prefer to go more for `white' Feng Shui - which does not try to harm thy neighbour .. sort of thingy.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 7/31/2003 3:44:35 AM, Anonymous wrote:ok, so after apply the 'castlegate theory', why is the frontentrance facing the road inthe NORTH direction?doesn'tthe chinese have this sayingof 'eating the north-westwind' and i also heard fromsomewhere that entrance facingNorth is worst thing to do.sowhat did Hyatt actually placedin the lobby area tocounteract this problem?also, what is 'white fengshui'?itried to search in this forumbut doesnt have a clear ans.can u explain to me?and isthere any reason why thereverend monk who fengshuiedHyatt use the harmoniouscombination of earth, waterand metal?thanx! myfs_94952
yap,ok..now i understand more of the 'white fengshui'. but i still have some things that i dont really understand about hyatt.1. i notice that the ceiling at the lobby of hyatt hotel lobby is of many 'pyramid' shape, is it design in such a way that it is 'fengshuied'?any reason for being in that shape?2. there are a few circular items in the hotel lobby like the spiral staircase, the flower pot in the middle of the lobby, the siting area which is infront of the staircase. are all these consider as 'metal' elements?(because you had mentioned before that hyatt is using the combination of 3 elements.)3.i also noticed that the whole lobby area is actually with timber strips flooring. doesnt it represent the 'wood' element?if it is so, then y is hyatt consider as only using 3 elements harmonious combination and have left out the 'wood' element?4.the hotel gives people a very warmth feelin with its lighting effect. the choice of using these warm lightings, does it have any effect on fengshui too?5. the lighting on the pot of flowers in the middle of the lobby is somehow being emphasize. is it done purposely?6. the use of the glass wall on the 2nd level, is it to reflect the 'yang' energy as what u have mention in some of the discussion?if it is so, isnt it too much?coz from the lobby u look up, the whole 2nd level is of glass walls all round.Carol Quote On 7/31/2003 6:48:48 AM, Anonymous wrote:Dear Carol,1.
