Dear Master Cecil,
In following your instruction to set up the salt water cure, I noticed a lot of white crystals have formed around the surfaces of the glass jar. What do the white crystals represent? Is the cure working?
Also, is it necessary to use new coins and jar every new year, or is it okay to reuse the old coins from the previous year?
Thank you for your help.
Warmest Regards,
Nhan

Dear Nhan Vo,
Often, the white crystals are the evaporated "white" salt crystals, that was stirred into the water. And perhaps, a little of the chemical reaction of salt with the surface of the copper coins.

Often, due to the acidity of the salt reacting with the coins, there would be some `wear and tear' i.e. the coins could be eroded to the point that it may become paper thin. Or much reduction in size - after quite some time.

It is good to check the Flying star numbers at the specific sector and to check whether, one's home could `fly' into the new period 8 or not.
And at the same time, if the #5 does not fly into the location for the year, then, one may not need to consider the use of this `cure'.
As mentioned, in my past message(s) on this cure, one has to actively `monitor' it.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
